For sale is my 1949 PACKARD CUSTOM EIGHT 4-door sedan with 49,553 original miles. The car is located in Connersville, IN, and is a time capsule from the 1950s.The original upholstering is in good condition, the wood grained dash and garnish moldings are excellent, the body is straight and rust free except for a couple of holes in the trunk floor. The maroon paint is dead and needs to be redone. The chrome is original and is very good except for the rear bumper that should be rechromed. The engine is the 356 cid straight eight, the largest engine offered by Packard, or any other U.S. automobile manufacture in 1949.It has new rebuilt starter, starter solenoid and fuel pump. The car is complete down to the fender skirts, curb-feelersand the exhaust deflector. It runs and drives, but should not be driven at highway speeds because of the age of the tires. Some TLC will make a this car a great classic to enjoy. A deposit of $200.00 would need to be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
