Description

Here is a super clean and rust free California car. Sitting since 2002 and showing 39K. miles. I was told it is original miles by second owner who says he purchased it from the original owner, an elderly woman, back in 2002. He never used it, he simply collected old cars. Paperwork shows she bought it in Oklahoma. It seems it could be original miles as the interior is still pretty nice, doors close nice like when new, radio is the original, etc... When I purchased it I discovered a HUGE rats nest under the hood and literally vacuumed hundreds of droppings and pulled many twigs and things out and off of engine. Three wires were chewed but not through. Four spark plug wires chewed in half. I poured more oil into the engine to get lifters wet and replaced spark plug wires and then put fuel down carb, a fresh battery and she started up with no noises. Next I replaced the fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, lower radiator hose, upper radiator hose, master cylinder, rubber fuel line, filter, and rebuilt the 2V carb. Cleaned out fuel tank, filled it, and she runs now as it should. I put four new tires on it, size 205/75/14s and they cost $380 for everything including balancing. The interior is pretty decent, seats are nice, plyable, comfortable and have no tares. Headliner nice, door panels nice, even the package tray is nice. Dash has two cracks. The carpet is a little faded and a small piece is cut out of it about 5"x4", it is covered by the floor mat though so you don't see it normally. The plastic inside quarter window trim is warped. The body has NO rust anywhere. It does have some chips in paint and dings in body, and also has one unusual dent behind passenger door just below quarter window. It is a soft dent with no crease and I think can be reached from back seat if panel removed. All the jams look great, trunk drip rail is great, underside of hood is great and most of the original stickers are clean and still on car. Glass is all nice except for some scratches on drivers side glass from someone not cleaning our dessert dust and sand out properly from window scrapers. Vinyl top dried and splitting but no rust or bubbling under it. Anyways it isn't perfect but it is very clean and runs and drives well.
