Description

For Sale : Beautiful 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury.

This is an Original Big Block Sport Fury 383 4bbl ready for Restoration, Rat Rod, ProMod - your choice, a great platform.

383 four barrel, Automatic, Deluxe Interior, Air Conditioned car.
We have Original Build shee, Certicard, Certicard holder is intact, Original plastic Owners Manual Cover, Original Owners Manual, advertising for Chrysler Air Temp AC, Chrysler Boat motors etc.
You will see in Pics where Original Owner kept up with service at Holly Motor Company in Tyler Texas.
Inside glove box is stamped card for writing in Tire Rotations and Original Owner used it.

I found this car under an awning at a deserted home- Located owner and bought car.

History:
Original Owner sold car to man I bought it from- He was going to restore it for wife but, she didn't like it so- it sat under carport/awning for many years.
This car shows less than 43k on milage

Car:
I checked engine for being free and- With a little fuel - she cranked.
From there: Changed all fluids, rebuilt Carb, rebuilt brake system, new thermosta, Fuel Pump, Points, Plugs, Condenser, Cap, Rotor, Wires, replaced all bulbs, cleaned sockets, grounds, repaired wires where corroded/broken. Changed tranny fluid, filter, rear end fluid, new post fluid additive etc, etc.

This is a factory 383 4 barrel car- AFB Carb, 727 Automatic, Power steering, 8 3/4 rear end, 323 gears.

Engine holds 50 lbs oil pressure and 20 inches of vacuum at idle- thats amazing for a 50 year old engine!
Does not smoke at idle, at speed or full throttle .
Transmission shifts well, and pan didn't have much band/clutch trash in it.
Car drives well, most front end parts are original .

This is a numbers correct ca, I cannot certify milage but, observed parts wear indicate this is indeed a low milage car.

Air conditioning: Air conditioner passed pressure test, then vacuum test ( held for 24 hours) - at that point we installed fresh Schrader Valve, pulled a vacuum again to remove moisture and filled with freon- Air Conditioning works well and produces 35 degree air at idle and fan on low.

This car has all chrome and stainless trim- all trim is intact both exterior and interior.

Interior chrome and stainless is 95% number 1 condition, 4% #2 ( just needs polishing compounds , 1% # 3 ( needs re-chromed )

Exterior: Chrome has a patina to it, some needs re=chrome, some needs nothing but polish.
All Stainless intact, some needs work on trim dolly.
Bumpers need straightened and Re-chrome.
Again- every single piece is there.

Body:

Floor pans solid, under car solid. Some rust in usual places, rear quarters behind tires, a bit above skirts, light in trunk, some where roof pillar meets deck lid. Patch panels are available from several venders.

This is a fully intact, non-restored 1966 special option car-The clock even works!

I have rebuilt/replaced/repaired: brakes, Carburetor, changed thermosta, all belts, hoses as needed, fixed wiring where needed, changed "all" fluids, complete tune up, changed all bulbs, replaced taillight lenses where broken or cracked, new headlights where neede, cleaned all Chrome and stainless, new fuel pump, pulled and cleaned distributer, new PVC valve, new filters, new window washer pump/tank/lines and several other items/areas.

Car is currently inspected anddrivable .

50 years old, it's incredible old car that will still melt tires.
I have driven it to local car show, got as much attention as any car there.
