Up for sale we have a 1971 Plymouth GTX V Code. This was the last year for the true GTX. The one we have is a rare find and is 1 of only 62 A33 Track Pak cars ever built with the 440 6 Pack 4 Speed Dana. As you can see by the pics this car looks better than it did when new. It has had a full frame off resto done with attention paid to every detail. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Plymouth, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the GTX. When you walk around it all you can say is wow. The body is laser straight with great fit and finish of all the panels. It has the correct air grabber hood and trim. All the chrome has either been replaced or re-chromed. All the stainless look good as well as the glass. The weather stripping was replaced along with the window seals. The body is covered in the Autumn Bronze Metallic Paint that has a deep rich shine and is slick to the touch. It's easy to see the time that was spent on the paint work after all the buffing and polishing. The paint is accented by the correct decals and the final exterior touch is the correct Rallye Wheels and New tires.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the '71. The interior follows suite with the exterior with it being all new. It has the factory bench seat that has the look of buckets. It's all done in the black with the new carpet and trim. It has the correct Pistol Grip Shifter. This car has the floor mounted cassette player which you did not see a lot of. The dash is all correct and is in excellent condition.
Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Plymouth. Under the hood it has the #s Matching 440 with the 6 Pack and is mated to a 4 Speed Trans with the Dana 60 Rear End. When looking under the hood it looks as it would in '71 with the engine being painted. It retains the stock manifolds with dual exhaust and factory tips. It has Power Brakes and Manual Steering. When you look under this GTX it's all painted as it should be with new fuel lines and tank. All the Brake lines were also replaced. The paint under this car looks as good as the outside with all the pans looking like new along with the sub frame.
