Description

1 of 682 GTX convertibles made in 1967. I can't get a number of those remaining but the rarity of this car is obvious. The gentleman's hotrod as it was known was the fore-runner to the B-body muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's.1967 is aone-year-only body style thatstarted the Roadrunner, Super Bee craze. Also a Nascar super star in '67.

The legendary 440CI super commando was stated to put out 375HP understated for insurance reasons, it was a torque monster and with few bolt-on mod's could be dialed up well over 500HP. Thedrive trainin this caris in original stock formwith the originalHD Torque Flight 727 trans, HD rear end, all the hard to find original parts with the exception of the Holley carburetor, a non-original replacement (more reliable).

The complete interior upholstery is newas isthe convertible top with cover. All the glass is in great shape. The actual miles on the car is unknown. The original 150 MPH speedometer shows 29,000 miles. The car always starts right up and drives beautifully. Everything works with the eception of the original AM radio. I'm sure it can be made to work but I wouldn't listen to it anyhow. The car has been nothing more than a Sunday cruiser for quite some time. Strong running, great sounding, eye catching pleasure.

The underside is all solid metal floor pans. Bushings, bearings and brakes are all fresh. New exhaust with original GTX chrome tips, Magnum 500 road wheels (original style wheels but not originally on this car). All fluids are fresh. The Red Line tires have less than 2k miles on them.

Thanks for looking in and good luck bidding.
