1948 Plymouth P-15 Special Deluxe Sedan
Originally purchased at Rankin Motor Co. by Mr. & Mrs. J.F. Fulton of Fort Dodge, Iowa on August 10th 1948.This Special Deluxe was well cared for from day one.The body is in wonderful condition and the undercarriage is extremely solid and still well protected with undercoating. The interior is in very nice condition with no tears or rips in the material. The door panels and headliner could benefit from a deep cleaning, but overall it is quite nice. The radio still works, but can be hit or miss when the car is running. All of the lights work as they should, the brakes are nice and tight, the 3 speed manual transmission shifts nicely and is very easy to drive. As you can see from the photos, the front end linkage is all in relatively new condition. This car is a turn-key driver and has never let me down. The original flathead six runs extremely well and has no problem keeping up with highway speeds. This car was featured in the 1991 movie “Rage in Harlem”.The exterior paint is nice and polishes up well, but the paint on the roof has started to crack and chip (visible in some of the photos). There is also a spot on the hood where the paint has cracked. The chrome is in very nice condition and shows no signs of any noticeable corrosion. The tires are old bias-plys that run well and show no signs of cracking or deterioration. If you are looking for a very nice old P-15 with a super solid frame, body and interior – this would be a great candidate.
Thanks for looking!
