THIS CAR HAS BEEN OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON FOR 30 YEARS AND HAS HAD ABOUT 3000 MILES PUT ON HER SINCE.THIS SAME PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE CAR RESTORED OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS BUT SADLY PASSED AWAY RECENTLY. THIS IS HOW I CAME ACROSS HER.
THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AND TRANS ARE GONE AND IN THERE PLACE A BUILT 340 WITH REBUILT TORQUEFLIGHT 727 TRANSMISSION.MOTOR IS OUT OF A 1970 CUDA (BLOCK IS DATED 12/18/69) AND HAS PURPLE SHAFT CAM, X HEADS WITH 2.02 VALVES ALL STOCK INTAKE AND CARBS THROUGH HP EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND DUAL EXHAUST THROUGH OEM TIPS..COMPRESSION KEPT AT 10:1 SO RUNS GOOD ON PUMP GAS.GAS TANK AND SENDER ARE NEW. THIS CUDA MAY LOOK BEAUTIFUL BUT SHE HAS A GROUND THUMPING BAD ATTITUDE! HAS 8 3/4 355 REAR POSI AND REALLY HOOKS UP..WHEN THE MOTOR WAS PULLED,THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND TRUNK WERE GONE THROUGH AND PAINTED FOR DETAIL.
THE REST OF THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED THEN SANDED TO BARE METAL AND SURFACE RUST WAS TREATED. SHE WAS GIVEN A GOOD COATING OF EPOXY PRIMER BLOCKED THREE TIMES AND PAINTED AN ORIGINAL CHRYSLER RALLY RED.ALL THE TRIM WAS REMOVED AND EITHER STRAIGHTENED AND POLISHED OR REPLACED.
THE INTERIOR WAS GIVEN NEW LEGIONARY SEAT COVERS HEADLINER CARPET AND DASH.SEAT BELTS ARE ALL PRESENT AND WORKING. ALL THE GAUGES AND ELECTRIC WORK AS THEY SHOULD IN THE RALLY DASH EXCEPT THE CLOCK..AM RADIO IS NOT HOOKED UP ALL INTERIOR AC IS THERE ONLY THE CONDENSER UNDER HOOD REMAINS. AFTER MARKET AC WAS PLANNED.. CAR IS ALOT OF FUN TO DRIVE SLAPSTICK SHIFTER WORKS WELL AND TRANS SHIFTS SMOOTHLY.SHE REALLY TURNS HEADS WEAR-EVER I GO. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL RALLY WHEELS THAT GO WITH THE CAR IF BUYER WANTS...
THE POWER STEERING STEERING AND SUSPENSION ARE NICE AND TIGHT AND POWER DISK (FRONT)BRAKES AND REAR ARE ALL NEW- PEDAL IS HIGH AND TIGHT SO STOPS WELL.SHE HAS FACTORY FRONT AND REAR STABILIZERS THAT REALLY HELP THE HANDLING.
FRAMES FRONT TO BACK ARE SOLID AND FLOORS MAY HAVE A COUPLE OF SMALL PATCHES BUT NOTHING SERIOUS ALL WELDED IN METAL REPAIRS. ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE AS THEY SHOULD.. SHE TURNS OUT TO BE A VERY NICE DRIVER AND I WISH I COULD KEEP HER BUT MY SITUATION HAS CHANGED AND MUST FIND ANNABELLE A GOOD HOME AS I PROMISED...
