Awesome Street Machine build on this 1966 Plymouth Satellite Convertible. Painted 1996 Dodge Viper GTS Blue over Black leather interior. Car is VERY solid, only slight bubbling on drivers rear quarter starting to show. Underside looks great, Car runs strong, shifts well, handles & stops great. Power top still works fine, it's a little slow, but I haven't noticed anyloss of performance in the 5 years I've owned this car.The Black Convertible Top stilllooks ok, buthas some permanent crease lines in the material that don't seem to want to come out. (I only put the top up when storing for the winter under cover anyway so it's never been a major concern.) Original radio works great. High beams, turn signals, heater controls, vents all work like they should. (Can't honestly answer about the wipers... never tried them and the car hasn't been wet while I've owned it.)
You can get all the enjoyment out of this for a fraction of the price of a Dodge Coronet,Plymouth GTX, or Roadrunner Convertible. Even thehardtops are going skyward. I've priced this car fairly, and have confidently driven it on interstate, and to shows with no issues. Drives great!
Known issues:
Drivers side rear window regulator should be replaced... still works but you need to help it.
Cigarette lighter is in the car but not operational.
Horn hasn't worked either.
Seat foam is getting brittle, was not replaced when they were recovered during the restoration.
