Description

This auction is for a 1970 Plymouth Cuda. It is a complete rolling body minus motor and transmission. It originally came with the 275 hp 340 4bbl with auto trans. We did not get the drive train when purchased. The car had been inside dry storage for many years. Who ever owned it previous was doing a complete rotisserie restoration. When we got the car it was on a jig with every nut and bolt and piece removed from the car. I believe the car was soda blasted. The underside is close to perfect. Has all original floors, frame rails, braces, etc. No scale whatsoever. Its as smooth as the day it was made and is in red oxide primer. The only thing that I see that is not original is the front tunnel was converted to accommodatea 4 speed instead of automatic. The tunnel is properly welded in. The bottom side still needs to be seam sealed. The prior owner cut out the middle of the trunk pan to replace with a new one. The old one is included and has the gas tank strap braces you will need. Also they removed the rear tail pan and replaced it with the new one. The original inner brace for the tail pan and trunk lock area is included. From the cowl back to the tail end of the car is original sheet metal that the car was born with. Good solid doors, nice cowl, perfect original floors, rockers inner and outer, quarters and inner quarters. All around the front and back windshield openings in excellent shape. Excellent trunk lip. There are some older patches on both rear quarters, top of both lips have had a nice repair. Just needs some finessing as left quarter has a wave in it and as I mentioned the few repaired spots. I would think the right body guy will straighten these out rather than replace them but if you need replacements I have a friend that has a pair of U.S.A made quarters that he will sell for $200. The front fenders I believe are off a 1970 AAR Cuda as evidenced by the lower front fender spoiler holes and the antenna delete hole on passenger fender. They also have the holes for the fender top turn signals. I do have the turn signals that I will include. The hood is from another 1970 Cuda but it is a factory hood pin hood like this car was optioned with. It was a nice clean solid hood that did have some hail damage and will need skimming to be perfect. There are some dings here and there but easy enough to skim and block sand to make for a nice shell. The main thing is you do not have rust to deal with. We bolted the interior back in and put as much stuff on the car to make it easier for shipment. Back seat is in real nice shape. Front seats need upholstery but we have brand new seat covers that match the rear seat in boxes from legendary. Also have new carpet set. Door and rear panels are in great shape. We got rid of the old dash pad for a nice original one and installed it. We had to remove the V.I.N tag which we did carefully but will need new rosettes when installed. By the way, all body numbers match. V.I.N number, radiator support, door tag and trunk lip. Car has the Rallye Dash with clock and tach. Odometer showing 51,000 miles when put away. The car originallycame FC7 Plum Crazy Metallic with white vinyl top and white and black interior. The inside doors and rear speaker shelf still have original paint. I have a list of all included parts for the car and a small list of a few missing items. Might be easier to call and go over the lists. I do have all moldings and trim, both door glass (no windshield), all inner splash shields, seat belts, wire harnesses for under hood dash and trunk and plenty more. I took a close up pic of the grill, one hairline crack and a small hole towards the rear. Very repairable. I installed a set of nice Weld Wheels. They are included with the sale but if not wanted we can negotiate. The car had a fair amount of options and we can provide you a decoded list of the fender tag which we also have. This is an excellent platform to build it the way you want. You can go original, resto mod or tribute car and you have nice bones to work with. Selling with proper dealer paperwork. If you need a title in your state we will insure and register the car and with our current Maine registration and proper dealer transfer paperwork you will get a title. It will be an additional $200 should you need this service. We are putting what we feel is a very fair reserve on this car. We are here to sell and not sit on it. We will listen to serious offers if you don't want to wait for the auction to end. Please bid only if you are serious about following through with the sale. If you have under 25 feedback please contact us by phone prior to bidding. We just want to make sure you are serious about the sale.We require a $1000 dollar non refundable deposit at the end of the auction and balance to be paid within 3 days of auctions end. Update: I have had a number of Ebayers ask for underside, trunk and under hood shots. I had my wife list the car with the pics I had taken the other day not realizing I did not have the other pics included. I will be more than happy to send you all those other pics, just give us a shout.
