1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Police Car replica

This is a very solid 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe that was converted into a Police Car in the early 70’s and presented to a retiring Police Chief. The car stayed in his family until he passed and then went into storage. It still has the Lowell, MA emblems and his name on the door. The man I got it from rebuilt the flat head 6 cylinder engine, put in an original style aluminum radiator and rebuilt the brake system to make it very roadworthy. It starts up easily and drives long distances with no issues.

It has been converted to 12 volt

All the lights, sirens and horn work.

The interior is very nice and the body is very solid. I cannot find any bondo and the only rust I found is a small hole on the inner rocker on the passenger side.The paint is old (early 70’s) but still looks decent and makes it look more authentic.

It gets lots of attention when driving and at cruise nights! I hate selling it but I have to thin out my collection.
