Description

1958 Plymouth "Christine". Originally restored in the 80's, this car features a 1968 440 big block and 727 Torqueflight push button transmission. The 440 features an aluminum Offenhauser 360 manifold and spread bore 4 barrel carburetor, dual exhaust and Mallory ignition with Hifire boost box, and electric engine cooling fans. The car features Belvedere side trim and includes the hard to find and expensive OEM steel bumper wings. The chrome and stainless trim is in good shape and definitely of "driver" quality. The car runs very well, but will need someone to finish some engine and under dash wiring. The transmission works well, but leaks a bit around the push button cables when it sits. Overall the car is very complete and is very solid for its age. The interior was redone in red and white vinyl and red carpeting. The seats were from a 70's Cadillac, I believe. The red and white paint was originally clear coated and now has a nasty case of sun burn, as most of the clear is gone from the roof, hood, trunk and the top of the fenders. The brake system will need to be gone through, as the brake pedal goes to the floor. The system help pressure a couple years ago. The park brake works well. There is not a lot of rust on the car, but there are areas in the rocker panels and rear wheel well opening that are starting to rust through as well as some at the bottom of the trunk lip. The trunk floor appears solid and the floor boards are in decent shape, but will require some metal replacement. The frame is solid with no rot. The tinted glass in the car is good, except for the windshield which will need to be replaced. The car comes with 5 OEM wheels with white wall tires and 4 original hub caps, but the tires will most likely need to be replaced as they are 30 + years old. This car is a good candidate for either a complete restoration, as most of the hard to find parts are there, or fix it up over time while you drive it. Either way, it is sure to turn heads when you drive it. Clear Utah title. I will help you load it on your trailer or meet the transport company of your choosing.
