1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite
I am the third owner. First owner bought new and owned until 10 years ago, then sold to his 50 year old nephew who lived next door to him his entire life. Car is from a small town in Southern Minnesota. Never winter driven. This car has a true 70,000 miles. It drives like new and every gauge and light works. Even the ignition light, and trunk light work. The car has its original interior and carpet with no rips. The AM radio works but the wheel doesn't turn the indicator, I just use the push buttons to adjust. It has its original 318 V8 that runs good and automatic transmission that shifts soft and smoothly. This car has a factory 8 3/4 rear end that is very tight. The glass is all good. It has its original body panels. The owner did not drive this car in the winter. No rust. It was repainted at one time most likely in the 1970's or 80's and evidence of some minor body work on passenger side.Paint has some normal minor random chips and scratches. Factory color paint. All original panels and trunk lid. The rear trunk panel is in excellent condition. Surface rust in the trunk from floor mat. Floor boards all extremely solid and no signs of any rust or corrosion. Original undercoating underneath. No bubbles in the paint. The car brakes nicely with manual brakes. It has manual steering as well. The owner changed the oil every 2000 miles and comes with the original Plymouth owners manual and his dates of meticulously changing the oil. I found red paint on the exhaust bolts and the front seal. Appears to have its original water pump. I added a new 2 bbl carburetor. I just changed the oil and transmission fluid and filter. The car has not been messed with. It still has the factory type points. I bought it since it is a lightweight Satellite to get a 440 transplant, but the car is almost too nice to drive and molest. It is a nice turn key driving car that is very tight when I used it withradials like new.15 inch rims and it has New Bias Ply NOS Firestones. Steering wheel looks like new as does the dash and rest of the car. A true time machine. I restored a 1969 GTX that brought in more money but was not the car this one is.
