1972 Duster from Alabama so this was a very low rust car. I had to do some panel replacement because it got a light tap in the back passenger corner. I ended up replacing the quarter on the passenger side (1/2 skin) and doing a new tail panel and deck lid. Color is 2015 Hellcat green (sublime). The paint is okay, I did the panel replacement and most of the body work. Ran out of time so i had the paint sprayed at a shop, it has a couple blems in it as i drive it... alot... The car gets compliments everywhere i go. Not a perfect show car butlooks real nice. Last 2 pictures are the worstspots. Body shop didn't finish off the 1/4 very good. Alsoburned through the paint on the top of the fender to primer when it was wheeled out.
Interior is custom Leather stitched to look like the factory seats. the dash pad is even wrapped in it. It was $4800, yes $4800 just for the seats, dash, carpet and headliner. So the interior is nice. Has a great stereo in it. Rockford Speakers and Pioneer head unit.
The car was originally a slant 6 automatic. I put a rebuilt 360 in it last year. it's .04 over, Hypereutectic pistons, forged 340 rods with ARP bolts, main caps have ARP bolts, Balanced rotating assembly. J heads with 2.02 / 1.6 valves, heads are ported. Head bolts are ARP. Double roller timing chain with Mopar performance tensioner. Dual plane intake with spread bore holley. Mild cam (spec'd out the biggest cam without needing a stall converter) Runs real good. Lot more potential in this motor if you wanted to step the cam up. Probably only 300hp right now.
Exhaust is brand new 2 1/4". Has only been on the car a month. sounds great!
Trans is a 904 right now. Shifts good. I have a spare that will go with the car.
Rear is the 7.25 with some really high gears in it. If you were going to drive the car hard an upgrade would be needed. With the combo that's in it right now I drove to Detroit and back averaging 17 mpg cruising 70.
