Description

Please see video link added at end of description......1972 Duster. Body just turned past 30K actual miles. Car was originally B5 blue with B5 Blue interior, slant 6 and auto on the column. Car was stripped to shell for restoration. all original panels and floors with only one very small metal patch in passenger quarter panel. Top and bottom of floors were stripped then coated in POR-15. Silver inside and black underneath, then a light undercoating. Car has spool type K-frame with front disc brakes. Engine was installed this early summer. It is a 5.9L Magnum based 408 C.I stroker. Dyno'd by builder, and not tuned, put out 494 h.p. and 507 tq. It came in at 10.99:1 and runs great on 93 Octane. It was built with a lightweight Scat crank, Scat forged I beam rods, and forged Icon pistons. It has a custom roller cam with .550 lift and 230/236 duration. It has 1.6:1 roller rockers which puts the lift at .586. It has Edelbrock aluminum heads that were gone through to ensure quality. It has a performer RPM with a 750 screamin demon carb. It has an FBO racing ECU with built in rev limiter and custom curved distributor. Full TTI 2.5" exhaust with X pipe and flowmaster mufflers. The 727 was built with bolt in sprag, kevlar bands, 5.0 kickdown, reverse manual valve body, deep pan, etc. It has a 3500 stall converter. New strange driveshaft with 1350 joints. New Dr. Diff nodular 8 3/4 section with 3.55's, billet caps, and his sure-trak geared sure grip unit. It has yukon axles with green bearings and 3" studs. It has bolt in frame connectors. New in-tank electric fuel system from Aeromotive with bypass regulator that can be switched to high pressure if fuel injected is desired in the future. I have installed the ammeter bypass wiring as well as the headlight relay kit. It has the classic auto air air conditioning kit installed. I replaced all the interior wood grain with carbon fiber to match the shifter housing. I installed silver and black faces on the gauges. I installed XV motorsports 3 point seat belts. I drove this car to the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals this July, 250 miles each way, where it won First Place in it's class. This car is a super nice driver. the paint is not 100 point concurs quality, with some minor flaws, but still gets loads of compliments and certainly is not too bad to win at Carlisle. Tons of compliments on the paint and color. Car runs out great and will smoke the tires all day long. Please contact me with questions and I welcome anyone to see it person before purchasing.
