Description
1973 Plymouth Road Runner 340 Four Barrel Four Speed Numbers Matching Engine and Transmission with full documentation
Black Exterior Black Interior with White Side Stripes
This 1973 Plymouth Road Runner 340 Four Barrel is one of the nicest examples in the country. This car was owned primarily by one owner for the majority of its life . This car is absolutely one of the finest you will ever see, it’s beautiful, was always pampered and well care for by the original owner. Most recently, May 2019 this car received 1st place award at one of the largest Mopar cars show with MIM. It still retains its original paint on the car and in the engine compartment, door jams and trunk area. I have documentation on this car that is truly incredible and rarely exist, just about anything you can image I have, broadcast sheet, window sticker, invoice, original plates and dealer frames, titles from the two previous owners, oil change history from new, a picture of the car from day 1, all receipts for maintenance performed and more. The body on this car is as solid as they come, original interior minus driver’s lower seat. The black paint is near perfect and the panels are super straight with no evidence of bodywork ever. Plenty of attention given to detail in the engine compartment on primarily a stock car. Rebuild original alternator, starter and carburetor. All body panels original to car, quarters, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and trunk floor.
As documented by the original window sticker and broadcast sheet, this car was nicely optioned including, Black with White strobe sides, 340 numbers matching engine topped by a four-barrel with a power bulge hood, a console 4-speed manual numbers matching transmission lives behind a sure grip 8.75-inch 3:55 performance axle package, power steering, power disc brakes and unique hood pins makes for the perfect combination of street power and high-speed cruising ability.
The black interior is of high quality, almost everything you can see is mint original condition. The chrome is near perfect, door handles, antenna, hood pins, bumpers look phenomenal. The gauges are in excellent condition and all accurate for their time and functional. Wood grained console and four speed pistol grip shifter are in near perfect condition. The wheels are new 15 “rally’s with Goodyear ST tires in excellent condition and the stereo has been upgraded to am/fm. The paint is PPG base coat clear coat system and presents itself extremely well. The door sticker is original in-place, the fender tag is original, the radiator support VIN numbers are correct and original. The car runs and drives excellent, I put a new edelbrock 600 automatic choke carburetor for drivability, however, the original restored carburetor comes with the purchased. A new Hays clutch was installed on this strong stock engine, it is a real treat to drive. I encourage you to see the car in person, it is near perfect and presents better when seen. You can drive and show this car with pride.
