Vitamin "C" 1970 Plymouth Road Runner 383
Description
Excellent project car in factory Vitamin "C" orange. Very solid 70 Road Runner with most original panels and many of the hard-to-find parts still intact. Doors are in great shape with no swelling in the lower pinchweld area. Door latch and door jamb striker area are not stress cracked or busted out as is common with 68-70 B-body cars. Rocker panels, door jambs, cowl, torsion bar crossmember, and frame rails are completely dry and rust free. No rust or rot in the engine compartment at all, other than surface rust in a few areas. Passenger compartment floor pans are dry and there is a section cut out in the driver side front floor pan. Trunk lid is solid with a square hole cut out of the inner structure in the center, near the rear lip. Trunk pan is original and has some small rust holes/pin holes that could be repaired to retain the original floor. Front fenders are solid with no swelling in the lower rear pantleg area, needing some straightening to correct dents and dings. Driver side rear quarter and outer wheel well have been replaced and need to be finished out with bodywork. Passenger side quarter panel has rust starting above the wheel opening and the lower rear quarter was previously replaced. Wheel well and trunk extension appear to be in useable condition. Seats are original to the car and will provide solid cores for new foam and upholstery. There is no rust around the front or rear windshield trim areas. New 14" tires on rally wheels. Car had been in storage with a tarp "tied" around it, causing the paint to be worn off in vertical lines, resulting in the "Tony the Tiger" stripe look. I have not found a fender tag or broadcast sheet for the car. I do have a 1968 383 long block assembly and big block 727 automatic transmission available to the winning bidder for an additional $400 if interested and am happy to install them for transport with the car.
