Description

I’m Selling my 1971 Plymouth GTX Project car. I will start off by saying please look at the pictures very closely and make sure you look at the fender tag which is also pictured. So, THIS IS A REAL FC7 In-Violet (Plum Crazy) Purple GTX. 1 of just 2,9xx Gtx’s made in 1971. I’ve seem 2 different numbers talking about purple Gtx’s and they were 1 of 105 or 1 of 135. But Chrysler did not break the options down to that extent so all I know is that it is a rare car. This is a 440 4 barrel auto on the floor with a console car. Premium bucket seat interior in black. Full white vinyl top with black hood accents. Power disc brakes with Power steering and A/C. Now we will get into the condition.
CONDITION- THIS CAR IS RUSTY. Super rusty. There’s rust almost everywhere you look. It comes essentially as a shell as pictured but also comes with the original dash board as well. The body is absolutely rusted. Rails are rusty. Roof is rusty. Floor is rusty. Firewall is rusty. This car needs pretty much every single thing you can imagine. The body numbers both match and both are pictured. VIN tag matches the Fender Tag and the Body stampings. THIS CAR ALSO COMES WITH ITS NUMBERS MATCHING 440. The VIN stamp on the motor matches the tags. It’s a 1971 hp 440 370 horsepower complete intake to pan. (See pictures) that’s what’s included. The motor was rebuilt by a shop on the east coast years and years ago. I found it over 10 years after it was separated from the car in a random string of luck after making many phone calls. Engine was kept dry and safe for years and ended up at Dave Dudecks Restoration shop under his bench for one of his customers. Motor was never fired. It was a 4 barrel car but according to the engine builder was rebuilt using its factory rods and crank which are 6 pack internals. The front damper is a 6 BBL damper so it is in fact a 6 pack internaled motor. The car was well optioned but obviously neglected throughout its life. It still has its 8 3/4 under the ass end. Front suspension and K member are there and in good shape. No transmission is included. I bought it not long ago but after buying a house and having no free time I need to sell everything.
It’s a clean title and my starting price is $7,500 and will part the car out before I take less. A rebuilt 440 with 6 pack internals go for this much. So I’m hoping someone can save this car since I cannot. Please read the description carefully and look at the pictures in great detail and don’t be afraid to ask questions. The car is sold as is and where is. It rolls freely and steers. Engine is on a stand and ready to be loaded. THIS CAR IS NOT COMPLETE. BASICALLY WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. I can gladly show you the car on a week day late in the day or on the weekend. I can make time for a serious buyer. I will not take less and will get parted out if it doesn’t sell. So someone please save this car! She can be saved!
