Description

Unique classic/hot rod/muscle car.All of the expensive upgrades have been done. These include a custom built stroked 440, now about 512 cubic inches, Edelbrock heads, quiet gear drive, headers etc.Dual exhaust, it sounds awesome. We have haddisc brakes installed all the way around.Much more as well, anything required to make it a reliable, safe, fun ride.Any and all work on the car has been done professionally at a top-notch shop. The body is solid, the car has lived in the West all its life.

We just received annual renewal from classic car insurer, Grundy/Philadelphia Indemnity, who have raised the agreed-upon value to $63,000.Costs us $410.00/year.

What the car is not - an original 440.(We probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it).Originally a 6 cylinder, again the conversion was done professionally and correctly, i.e.the proper K member to allow the big block to fit, the massively strong sure-grip differential, sub-frame connectors, etc.

We are 99.9% sure the car is an original FM3 Moulin Rouge (Panther Pink for Dodge) car, a gentleman who worked on the car before we bought it, who happens to be a judge at Mopars on the Strip, assured us that it was despite what we get told by “experts.”One of the best clues is the very old pink paint in places not usually repainted, like in between the door panels where the window rolls down into.

Things we haven’t gotten around to fixing:Dash lights, radio, heat. We’ve driven the car for 7 years this way, hasn’tbeen a priority for us.The car came to us with all the air conditioning equipment, we have never had it hooked up.There is a tiny area on the passenger door down at the bottom where in the past a body shop did a crappy job fixing a little scratch they made. Otherwise the car is beautiful.

Everything needed to drive the car safely and have fun is functional, i.e. headlights, brake lights, turn signals, odometer/speedometer, fuel gauge, windshield wipers in case you get caught in the rain.

If you’re thinking of buying a fixer-upper and doing the work yourself or getting it done, maybe check this out first. The costs add up quickly, especially if you need body work and have rust issues.

Our Buy It Now price is pretty much what we’d like to get.Hot August Nights here in Reno is right around the corner, the car will be there, with possibly potential buyers as it is a car that really needs to be seen and heard to be appreciated. And EVERYONE at HAN wants their picture taken with it!

Thanks for looking.
