Description

This 1967 Plymouth Barracuda looks mean pro street machine from every angle. And when you look under the big-scoop hood, there's ferocious V8 power. So dig into all the details on how they invested nicely to create your dream street/strip machine.

This was the era were the Barracuda was really starting to heat up the pony/muscle car wars, and this one really takes that feeling over the top. The body lines were quite aggressive with the wide front end, kick-up rear fenders, and a fastback profile make this the perfect base to create this custom muscle machine. The vibrant yellow paint is called Viper Yellow, and so it's borrowed from a descendent of this street-eating Mopar. It has a slick style that highlights the straight body, and it also makes for a great backdrop to all the black elements. This includes the full-length racing stripes, NASCAR-style Plymouth fender callouts, and tinted windows. Plus, we all know you've been staring at the blackout hood with monster air scoop. And the brightwork is out for attention, too. It's not just on those wraparound bumpers, but also on the iconic Cragar SS wheels with big meaty rear tires.

Because the black looks so good against the yellow on the exterior, you also have a full black interior. There was a solid investment here to give the upholstery, carpeting, headliner, and dash pad a clean and dark presentation. You'll even love the details like the correct fold-down rear bench, and the upgraded floor mats with yellow Barracuda stitching. But this is a true driver's machine at its heart. You know this is a driver's machine by the items like the front bucket seats, three-spoke sports steering wheel, crisp AutoMeter gauges, and the Hurst shifter. And while there's a nice tach in the dash, there's also one on the hood for a classic-style head-up unit.

That's a proper racecar-style lift-off hood, and so you (and everyone else) gets an excellent view at the beast within. The 340 V8 is part of the Mopar legend for being hardy powerhouse that loves upgrade, and you can see they invested big in this one. That tall Holley air grabber gets fresh air from the hood scoop. That feeds the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor on its way to the Edelbrock air gap intake. The Hedman long tube headers add even more power as they let this mighty V8 exhale with authority from the Flowmaster dual exhaust. The four-speed manual transmission puts you in the center of the action. This feeds a 3.55 Sure Grip rear end. The undercarriage photos not only show this setup, but also nice investments in the front suspension and Mickey Thompson traction bars in the rear. There's disc brakes up front and wide Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires in the rear for all-around proper control.

This is a seriously mean-looking Mopar that knows how to deliver all the power to back up its appearance. It's a true street-eating Barracuda that you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!!
