Description

This is a genuine 383, factory 4-speed Road Runner. Overall it seems to be a very solid, honest car. It is certainly a pleasure to look at too.
EXTERIOR: Good looking. The combination of colors, stripes, spoiler and wheels is awesome. Completely repainted Tor red which is Plymouth's version of Hemi Orange. It has a glossy finish. The body is exceptionally straight, I don't see any signs of damage, the panels fit square. Looking down both sides of the car it is straight. New white strobe over the roof and on the hood. It has hood pins and a spoiler on the trunk. Upfront the blacked out grill is in excellent shape and has the floating roadrunner head. The bumpers are dry original chrome. Taillights look good. 15 inch Rallye wheels look like they are new. They have BFGoodrich tires, a little fatter in the back. Door jambs are clean, bottom of the doors are very nice. The weather strips and window seals have been replaced.
INTERIOR: Very nice inside. It has what they call the Halloween interior- two tone orange and black seats. The upholstery has been redone. The dash does have a split. The instrument panel is in real nice shape, it's not cut or broken. The original radio and heater controls are still in place. Tuff grip steering wheel, the light shining on the key works! There is a CD stereo mounted under the dash inside, 6x9 speakers in back. The glove box is nice does. The reverse indicater is on the dash because it's got the pistol grip 4-speed on the floor. The seatbelts are there front and back. Headliner is in excellent shape, dome light works. Original door panels are really nice, the plastic is not beat up.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: We checked the casting numbers, it is a correct 383 motor. Runs strong, it is upgraded with an aluminum intake andn a fairly new Edelbrock carb with electric choke. The alternator looks recent. It has the correct exhaust manifolds, valve covers and dual snorkel air cleaner with the 383 Road Runner pie tin on top. Distributor and wires look proper. Has a Mopar radiator, new shroud. The battery is bolted down properly. Features include power steering and the most important feature of all is the beep beep Road Runner horn. The engine bay is clean, straight metal painted orange. The numbers on the core support and cowl both match the dash. The numbers are also on the original fender tag which is still attached.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is solid metal repainted orange but not glossy. It does have the complete jack and spare assembly mounted properly.
UNDERSIDE: The front end looks rebuilt. The shocks sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints all look pretty fresh. In back it has air shocks. Looking up at the motor it's clean. 883 4-speed trans. New fuel tank. New dual exhaust with the correct exhaust tips.
Doors shut nice, interior lights work
(including on the key), Beep Beep horn works. It's not a concourse award winner but I think it's a good one!
