Description

This 1973 Cuda was built in October of 72...The car needs a lot of work, but is a solid platform for a Clone, or a numbers restoration...From my understanding, this car was in Georgia for many years prior to the previous owner in Florida that acquired the car in 2013...I had it shipped up to Michigan in Jan of 2015... Although it has it's share of typical Ebody rust issues, It doesn't look like this car has ever been abondened to rest in the elements...Its likely been a project candidate, and been garaged over the years...
*Clean Title, Matching Fender Tag...Numbers also match the vin tag, the engine block, the radiator core support, and the upper cowl stampings...There is NO Build Sheet...
Honey Gold, with Black stripes, and Black vinyl interior with console...340 auto, power steering, power brakes, front and rear sway bars...
*Body
Roof is solid...has only minor dings throughout...A few tiny pinholes at the quarter seam near the drip rail moulding...The A Pillars, as well as both the windshield, and rear window openings are solid...
The hinge pillars are solid...
The quarters obviously need replacing...You could repair with partial skins...The Dutchman panel and trunk gutters are very solid...
The inner wheelhouses could be patched...the outers need replaced...
The Trunk floor has been replaced by a previous owner, it is a two piece and is just tack welded in...
Trunk floor drop offs need to be replaced...
The doors are very solid, but have parking lot dings and other minor dents...The inner door shells are very nice...no rust in the seams...all the glass and window regulators are there...
The inner and outer rockers are solid...just surface rust...
The floor is solid for the most part...underside has surface rust but nothing spongy or soft, until you get to the passenger front foot well where the drain plug is... Somebody put a replacement section on the drivers side foot well, I would cut it out and replace it...they could both be easily patched with front partial floor pans...
The upper and lower cowl are solid...there's only very minor patch work needed near the drain flap across from the brake booster...
*The inner fenders need to be replaced...
The fenders are very nice...rust free replacements, that came off another 73 from Texas, and still have their original paint...
The upper and lower rad support are clean, but I'd repair or replace the side panels...*Included, are two nos side panels...
The grille is also a replacement from another 73...You will not find a nicer example without buying nos... has no cracks, never broken, has never been repaired...needs a repaint...
The deck lid has typical rust between the rear hem flange and is separating...An aftermarket replacement deck lid from Goodmark is included...
Two hoods are included...the original is decent, and could be easily restored, but it's crusty underneath and has had some amateur body work...Not really cost effective...The other hood is off a car from San Diego California, and is absolutely beautiful...
The bumpers and brackets are straight...the chrome is weathered...
* All the frame rails and crossmembers are really solid...with the exception of the left rear rail that needs to be patched or replaced...there's about an 8" section that's rusted through between the rear shock cross member and the exhaust hanger...
*Interior...All the seats need to be recovered... Frames and tracks are nice...
Dash pad is cracked...standard gauge cluster and am radio are intact...All the wiring is still intact...
Headliner is gone...door panels and rear side panels have light scratches...
The center console is cracked...
*Matching numbers 340 Block...A previous owner must have hot tanked and prepped the block for a rebuild...It Looks like the cam bearings were installed, and then they coated the cylinders and crank with a light coat of grease for storage...Included are the crank, timing cover, 1971 J Heads, Date coded exhaust manifolds, and matching 4bbl intake, pulleys and misc brackets...There are no rods or pistons...
Transmission is a NON matching numbers 727 auto...
I've tried to describe the car as best I can...If you have any questions, or need to see a picture of anything specific, just let me know...

On Jul-07-16 at 08:54:47 PDT, seller added the following information:

All the stainless window trim is there, and is very nice...there is no trim for the deck lid, no rocker trim...the stainless under the windshield has a couple small dings...
