For sale in our Chicago showroom is a very solid 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook 4-Door Sedan. After the ending of World War 2 car design did not immediately pick up and the "Big 3" were in the process of re-tooling factories for newer and more innovative cars. By 1952 cars were beginning to become shorter but still provided plenty of interior room and this Cranbrook is no exception.
A great amount of detail has been spent to bring this classic back on the road and making it a very high quality and comfortable driver. From top to tires this car looks fantastic and there is no mistaking it for a '50's classic with the gleaming chrome, large front grill, those classic Wide Whitewall tires and optional sun visor with dash board traffic light reflector. On the interior you will see seats that more resemble your living room couch that are very comfortable and finished in the period-correct pin-striped Mohair upholstery with green piping. The horn, AM Radio and factory turn signals all work as they should.
Under the hood you will find the rebuilt original "L" Head 6 cylinder engine that was known for ruggedness and durability and will also provide the new owner decent fuel economy thanks to the 1 barrel Carter Carburetor. An original-styled cloth covered wire harness has replaced the original old wiring for safety and reliability. The dual-pitch horn sounds perfect for this type of vehicle and this car starts, stops, shifts and drives just like you would expect from a well cared for an maintained car. Be prepared to get a lot of thumbs up and smiles along your way.
