Description

1972 Pontiac Catalina Safari 6 Passenger Station Wagon!!!! Biggest, Heaviest Pontiacs ever produced!!! Car has 95,000 original miles with the 400 cubic inch V8 and a 2BBl Carb. Turbo 400 Transmission. Car Runs and Drives well--I have noticed a hesitation recently with the engine, may need another tuneup. No shifting issues, Stops well--Brake light is always on but doesn't ever lose fluid. Dual Exhaust with glasspacks. Rear airshocks no longer hold air. Within the last 13,000 miles I have done plugs, wires, points, condenser, Belts, hoses, racing aluminum radiator, carburetor rebuild, valve cover and exhaust manifold gaskets, alternator, starter, Front and Rear Brakes, master cylinder, Front and Rear Shocks, gas tank and fuel pump, Rear end Bearings and fluid changed, Transmission fluid and filter changed, power steering fluid changed. Everything in the car works with the exception that the rear power window does not have enough strength to go up more than a few inches which prevents the rear tailgate from going down. Heat, wipers, all lights and AM radio with one original speaker work great! The only thing not included with the sale is the Trailer Hitch as I am putting it on another vehicle. Front Seat is ripped and I not sure but it looks like someone started painting the car with a roller with rustoleum primer and black paint!! Would make a great Restoration Project--Not too Many of these left out there!!! Any questions, please call Eddie at (716) 392-0862. Please remember a winning bid is a purchase--please ask any questions before auction is over. NO RESERVE
Just want to mention that the tailgate slides down into the floor of the rear cargo area behind the storage area and it worked flawlessly until only recently when the power window motor began getting weak because the window goes up behind the headliner and that is what releases the tailgate. Also want to mention this car has been very reliable for me--I have driven it EVERYWHERE for the last 4 years and on long trips and everything. Wherever I go I get compliments and questions about it. It has a great sound with the dual exhaust and raps the pipes off very nicely! New overload shocks were installed in the front and front wheel bearings also packed with grease. Other than the hesitation in the engine I noticed recently I would say you could drive it home wherever you are coming from!!
