1986 Pontiac Parisienne Brougham , original low mileage, loaded
Description
I am selling my 1986 Pontiac Parisienne Brougham 4 dr sedan. I bought it from the original owner over two years ago and have only driven it 2 K miles. It currently has 45 K original miles. It was stored and not used prior to my purchasing it so here is a list of what mechanical things I did to it to bring it up to its current running and dependable condition. All 4 new Uniroyal Tiger Paw whitewall tires, new brake pads, calipers, rotors, rear shoes, wheel cylinders, and hardware, all four Monroe shocks, drained and cleaned fuel tank, changed trans fluid and filter, Mobil one synthetic engine oi, new dist cap, spark plugs, ignition wires, all radiator hoses, all heater hoses, vacuum lines, all V belts, EGR valve, fuel pump, fuel filter, and master cylinder. I probably missed items but basically I replaced every wear item that due to its age I felt should be updated. The car is as original as new and even had the original tires when I bought it. There has never been any body damage or repair. The chrome is all very good. The original paint is thin on the hood and decklid and there are a few rust spots on the decklid from cat pee as shown in the photo. The rocker panels, door bottoms, wheel well edges, and fender skirts are as new. The chassis and underside of the car is as clean as the body. The dark blue vinyl top is very good, the trunk looks new, the jack has never been down, the interior is plush and clean with no cuts, damage,or wear, the seats are padded. The dash pad has several small cracks as shown in the photo. This car has all the power options, cruise, tilt wheel, power drivers seat, power windows, power locks, power trunk, stereo cassette, power antenna, and air conditioning. It rides smooth and quiet, no rattles or sounds. The car does not have any fluid leaks and was rustproofed when new. The engine is the Chevy 305 cubic inch and the trans is an overdrive 700R. When I bought the car I charged the AC with R12 refrigerant and it was ice cold for the summer but has since leaked pressure. It should be retrofitted to R134. The only other issue is if the car does not run often and sits for a week it will start on the third crank but if driven daily it starts right up. I changed the fuel pump but it did not make a difference. It idles smooth and has good acceleration so I did not tinker with the carb. I have always run it on hi octane gas or otherwise the engine will ping. Email if you have any other questions, I've tried to be as complete and honest as I can. If you are nearby and want to see the car contact me.. I have a clean Ohio title in my name but the car does not leave until I have cash in hand. A nonrefundable deposit of $500 payable through paypal due within 24 hours of close of auction. Balance is due within 72 hours of close of auction. Bank check accepted but must clear before car is released. Thanks
