1979 Trans Am *No Reserve* Redbird 455 Big Block
Description
1979 Pontiac Trans Am. T-Top Car, Automatic, 455 Big Block. Originally a 6.6 403ci. Motor was swapped out for a Big Block with 40K miles on it. Car runs and drive great. Fires right up and runs smooth. Shaker Hood works as it should. Transmission shifts perfect, Interior is all there and the seats don't have rips and they look good.Gauges all work except for the Tac. The Speedo, Clock, Oil, Volts and Temp work. T-Tops don't leak but the driver side does not have the original lever on the inside. The lever in it now does work. Dash pad has a cover that looks good. Headliner is there but needs attention. It has Snowflake Wheels and the tires are good all around. Paint has some nicks and some scratches but still shines really well. Bird on hood has faded but it still looks cool. The front bumper has a cracks in one corner and a patch on the other side. The overall appearance is not perfect but still very shiny and respectable. A repaint would do the car nicely but it looks good enough as it is. Your choice to make. I like the look it has now you may think different. Everyone compliments this car and it really looks good for its age. The Body is solid. The fenders and quarters do not have any rot or rust. It is all metal. The chassis is Solid too. The Brakes stop and work but should be checked. Fluids should be changed also. Radiator is new and so is the coolant so don't bother to replace the Coolant. I have been driving it around and it runs and drives very nice. It is a really nice car. It is not perfect and it is not a 100% restored vehicle. There may be a squeak or rattle once in a while. However it is a great car to either drive and ride or an even greater platform to do a restoration. These cars restored are 25-30K . My starting price is 8500, well below the average market price for this car in this great shape. It is also for sale Locally so I may end this auction at any time. Please read and ask questions Before Bidding?? Deposit is Non Refundable and Car is sold As Is Where Is. This is a 1979 car. Things will not be perfect. Please don't bid if you are not sure? Don't bid if you're drunk and going to regret it in the morning! Those of you who need permission from a significant other please get it before bidding. Bottom line this is a really cool car. Runs and drives. Someone will enjoy this car for sure. Fun car. Looks really nice too........
