1948 pontiac Silver streak 8 fast back with auto trans hydramatic
Description
I purchased this car 10 plus years ago from the owner who spent many years and dollars restoring the car. It sat on the back burner and I know I wont finish it. It came out of North Carolina. The car was stripped down to bare metal and all body work was done. He used NOS rear fenders on the car. Base coat and clear coat paint was used. It still needs a final cut and buff. These are the original colors of the car. The engine has been rebuilt and I have the document of what was done to the engine. All new glass has been installed with door felts, new wing window glass with rubber installed. new wiring harnesses included along with some extra parts. It looks like the knee action shock have been replaced also. NOS parts on cars are, Grill, head light bezels, tail lights, door striker plates, door handles, air cleaner, trunk handles still in box, front floor mat still in box, hood script Silver 8 Streak emblems, rear fender stone guards. Body and paint cost him over 10k alone. I have some manuals that go with the car. This can be a very nice car when completed. The wood gaining on the inside moldings are in great shape and I would not re-do them. All new rubber included. New windshield glass (Not installed new rubber included) This car has a rear windshield wiper option and under seat heater. The rims and tires on the car belong to a 55 olds they do not go with the car. They are 15 inch rims. The car will have rollers on it. Original rims and trim rings included with Two original hub caps that go with the car. It looks like there is new brake hardware and new lines. The hood chrome down the center or the silver streak was professionally restored by Christensen in Vernon Calif. This was not cheap and he is one of the best platters around. He does Jay Leno's chroming. The bumpers seem to be original chrome but in good shape but not show. Fender skirts included and already painted to match, they were also NOS. New rubber included for skirts also. Reserve is very reasonable and the car is worth more in parts now a days. Zero time on the engine, it has never been started
What the car needs to be finished- wiring, interior, door and trunk rubber installed and final assembly. Please ask questions before bidding. I paid good money for this car and will sell this at a loss. Loosing storage in June-July. There are some extra parts like rear leaf springs, Knee action shocks and front hubs. Car is open for inspection and is located in Lakewood Washington near Fort Lewis Washington just off I5 No Trades or Brokers will help with loading for out of state buyers more photos on request.
