1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM
Description
This is a 1976 Pontiac Trans AM all numbers matching car. It had not a frame off restoration but, has been restored several years ago. It has new paint, new engine, super T-10 4 speed transmission, 10 bolt rear end posi traction with 323 gears. The interior: The two front seat have been recovered, the back seat is the original covering. No rips or tears and is in great conditions. The dash is in great condition. All gauges, turn signals, headlights, gas gauge, break lights, heater all works good. Since the engine and restoration (several years ago) there has only been maybe 1,000 miles put on the car on new tires and wheels. Engine runs very strong. The engine was a built by current owner, who owns a engine rebuild shop. The engine is basically stock but it has a nice cam in it. It has nice Flowmaster exhaust system on it. IT SOUNDS GREAT AND IS A REAL HEAD TURNER. I am selling this car for a friend and have personally driven this car and have taken it to a car show. IT DRIVES AND HANDLES LIKE A DREAM. If I didn't already have a 1970 Pontiac GTO I would be buying for myself. This car is not a perfect 10 but it would be a 8 1/2 to 9. It does have a couple of things that might need attention. It has a rattle in the rear end. It sounds like a loose shock something easy to fix. All the door rubber is all brand new but, the driver side rubber needs a new screw to hold the rubber in place. The grill in the front has a little chrome peel but, you can't buy new grills for it. Rear main seals leaks a little bit it has the rope style seal and the more it is driven the less it well leak. It just needs to be driven. I don't have the VIN but, I will be putting it in on Monday or Tuesday.
