Description

Up for sale 1967 Tempest
I've had this car for some years was going to restore but my Ms has gotten to the point where I can't .I'm in a wheelchair full-time now
This is an odd car
Factory air
Factory power windows
Factory tilt steering for a console shift
Factory tinted windows glass is in very goodcondition windshield included
Muncie 4 Speed very short throw tail housing part number GM3846429 it does have the 27 spline tail shaft it has a tall shifter and the the throw from first to second third the fourth is really short I'm not going to take the tranny out I can't get any more numbers off of it than what I have already
Power drum brakesHurst shifter
10 bolt posi
4 original Wheelsbeauty rings center caps even the lug nuts
It has a 389 CI the intake manifold has been off for years we poured diesel fuel down it a long time ago to try and keep water and condensation out we also wrap it the motor pretty complete right from the fan all the way back to the bellhousing other than the intake manifold and carburetor is gone I cannot tell you if the motor is any good or notBut seems like it has the original distributor all the brackets the power steering I think the alternator is original also but you have all the brackets to put one together complete
Date code on the motor is L 04 6 it's a YD on the front it must have been changed at one time wrong VIN number
It has the original radiator and AC condenserI have an AC compressor and bracket for a 389 it also came out of a 67 Tempest beautiful decal on a good compressor I had for another car I'll also include that
Has the original underhood light with the plunger still
Front fenders seem to be pretty solidrad support very solidinner wheel wells solidDoors seem pretty solid other than the usual rust underneath but not Blowing in the Wind LOLFront windshield and rear window opening look pretty rust-free I can't guarantee that but from looking at it closely it looks pretty clean like they sealed it a long time ago and did a good job but didn't get wet
Over the years somebody stole the front seats the console and the instrument cluster
Would be a great parts car for somebody building a highly optioned car or wanting to build a highly optioned
Or put her back together and drive it the floors have the usual rust trunk usual rust quarters don't seem that bad but I'm not trying to candy coat anything I think it's very restorable ...
but just because I think that I'm 62 year old body man I come from a time when we restored anything that's still moved somebody might look at it today and say no way lol ; )
Please any questions don't hesitate to ask I'll be more than happy to get back with you or take an extra picture .
I will also look into a couple other things on the car and will add to the description over the next few days as I said I'm in a wheelchair I depend on people to do stuff for me so I want to try and check couple other numbers out maybe off the tranny if I can
