This car was mechanically and cosmetically restored about 8 years ago, and then was driven a couple of hundred miles, and then just stored away.The car was completely disassembled and stripped and professionally re-painted at this time.The drive train was gone through as well as the chassis and suspension components, and the motor was professionally rebuilt.The interior was re-done, except the seats and door panels were in good enough shape that they were re-used.The seats did have a couple of panels professionally replaced at this time.The car is as nice as the pictures, and is ready to drive and enjoy right now.The car is powered by the 6.6L 4BBL Pontiac motor, and has the W72 package which ups the horsepower to the highest level you could get for that year.The car has an automatic transmission, and is a blast to drive.The car goes down the road like it should, and has good power.There are no known problems, so other than routine maintenance, you should be able to just drive this car.The A/C was removed during the restoration and engine rebuild, but I have all of the parts to put it back on the car, and they are included in the sale.Everything was carefully removed, and nothing was butchered. The car did get some performance upgrades in the form of an aluminum intake manifold (painted to match the motor, so it's not so noticeable) / headers / new carburetor (still a Quadrajet so that the scoop all fits like factory) / true dual exhaust / mild performance camshaft. The car is now louder than stock and has some lope from the cam, but it idles and drives just fine, and runs more like these cars should have from the factory. The factory (exhaust manifolds / intake manifold / carburetor) were carefully removed and are included with the car.
This car is an appreciating classic, and is an investment you can drive and enjoy right now.There is no hidden putty or poorly done body work, and the trunk / underside / rockers / firewall / bottoms of the doors / door frames / etc. are all solid.A majority of these cars I see are on dealer’s lots, and their prices are far higher than mine.This is a quality car, so I’m not going to give it away, but I feel it is a very sound investment as far as classic cars go…..And VERY fairly priced compared to the market.Look over the pictures and ask any questions you have before bidding.
