1973 Pontiac Grand Prix. RUNS STRONG. DRIVES GREAT. NO RESERVE. DRIVE IT HOME.
Description
Here is my good running and driving 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix which is located in Casper, WY where it was purchased 44 years ago. It has a 400 cubic inch engine with a four barrel carburetor and dual exhaust.
Move your mouse over the photos to see them larger.
What is wrong:
There are a number of small dings and dents.
The right front shock is bad.
The starter drive is starting to fail.
It needs a new paint job. It looks better in the photos than in person.
It needs new upholstery.
The console is broken on the driver's side.
You should expect to find other things that need to be repaired that I don't know of.
What is good:
Dr. Prugh bought it new in Casper, Wyoming at Nagel Motors. He kept it garaged most of the time. Some of his original documents and manuals are included and shown in one of my photos.
The car runs, drives and stops in a straight line. Acceleration is very good. You can easily burn rubber if you want to.
All the glass is good with no chips, cracks or broken windows.
The headliner is good.
It had a full tune up about 300 miles ago that included new points, condensor, cap, rotor and spark plug wires.
All the weatherstripping was recently replaced and looks new.
The rubber between the bumpers and body is new.
The washer motor is new.
The belts and large hoses are new.
The original top looks very good.
It does not burn oil.
The tires are very good.
The tail pipes and mufflers have been replaced recently with ones that are aluminum anodized.
It has A/C and there is pressure in the system but the compressor does not engage unless manually applying 12 volts to the compressor clutch. I suspect the low pressure switch is not actuating because of low freon.
There is only minimal rust as can be seen in some of the photos.
Thanks a lot, Roger.
