2dr Art Deco sadan coup GARAGE FIND
Description
GARAGE FIND, over 45 years storage. Way cool Art Deco sculpture at it's best and yes that is the original paint with great patina. This design was first seen in 1941, refined, mechanically up dated and sold in 42 46 47 and 48. This is an example of the state of art during the war and post war America. Car has been sitting in a garage for over 30 years by me and at least 15 years by previous owner. Nice solid car, well optioned, straight body. 6 cyl 3 speed on the column. Former owner of over 20years, used it for parades and special occasions. Retired when engine block cracked over the winter in the care of the former owner. It's a fairly small crack and can be repaired. As another option I'm including a straight 8 professionally rebuilt block including the head plus with the engine accessories plus a new reconditioned extra radiator. The drivers door has rust on the bottom an easy fix or use a solid dent free door included. Floors and trunk look good small area front floor passenger side. Body is overall rust and dent free. Loaded with period factory options including, deluxe interior, factory banjo steering wheel (nice), side view rear mirror, heater, radio, clock, clove box, cigarette lighter, ash tray, engine bay reel out trouble light, trunk reel out trouble light, fog lights (have more parts), back up lights, front and back deluxe wrap around bumper guards, fender skirts, set of window vent shades and a rather unique back window windshield wiper, controlled in the front independently by driver. Have a lot of extra parts from a 48 that goes with the sale. The odometer shows 42k and the brake and clutch pedal and interior door panel seems to verify a probable mileage of 142k. Interior was a lot better but raccoon broke into garage. Threw out the contaminated material. Advertised locally and I reserve the right to cancel sale at any time. Car is sold as is. $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Balance paid in full 7 days and car to be picked up 2 weeks from end of auction.
