You are bidding on a running 1969 pontiac firebird convertible, 350 V/8 5.7 chevyengine, 4bbl. She usually starts with one turn of the key. I use it as a daily driver to go to the bank, get coffee, pick up my kid from school, take the family for dinner or a movie. Have driven it out the the Gilmore museum a few times to show… gets lots of compliments. Obviously not winning prizes.
Originally a southern car, it was purchased and repainted by a doctor in Maryland. He also put in the remanufactured engine and redid the interior. I bought it in 2010 from a private seller/dealer who had bought it from him and had it shipped to Nashville. I shipped it to Michigan in 2015. It has always been stored in the winter since I have been the owner. Milage is undetermined.

ENGINE - is a Jasper remanufactured 350 with a recently rebuilt Edelbrock 4bbl and runs like a top. The block is from a later model V8, so it runs great on regular unleaded gas (no need for lead additives or that sort of thing). New fuel pump and water pump. Clean compartment. Radiator works fine, there is a working after-market temp gauge inside car under dash.
TIRES - Firehawk tires on Crager Mags. (The tires in the first pic are the ones that came with the car - I didn't remember to take a picture of the back so I used the old pic).
SUSPENSION - needs work. It's fine for around town, but if you were to hit a really bad pothole or highway debris, you could damage the undercarriage.
BRAKES - work perfectly
EXHAUST - dual exhaust with Cherry bombs. Sounds like an evil beast from the pits of hell.
TRANSMISSION - is automatic and shifts flawlessly. When I got it, the differential was making a little noise so I had it rebuilt (Greg's Auto Repair in Nashville).
INTERIOR - The interior is nearly mint with seats having no rips, dash is also excellent condition with no cracks - the convertible top is powered and works great! There are two rips in the cloth top that I repaired with Canvas sail tape, upholstery thread and glue. Needs to be replaced but does not leak and can be used like this for a long time and replaced at your leisure. Radio does not work. There is some rust on the dashboard.
GAS TANK - brand new tank and fuel line (Greg's Auto Repair, Nashville)
GLASS - all good though the rear passenger window requires a bit of wiggling to roll back up.
EXTERIOR - the car looks great from 15 feet. All badging is intact and correct. There are numerous nick and scratches, a few small dents from a hail storm. Really small ones, (my toyota had huge 1" dents from the same storm, but you can hardly see the 5 or 6 spots where the Firebird was hit). Rear drivers side quarter needs to be replaced/repaired (pictured). There is a rust spot on the front of the hood and one by the passenger side rear door. Rust on the tail piece around lights.
The doors open and close fine, though there is a slight sag and the tolerance is off by 1/8 - 1/4 inch. The driver's side door is bent in the front from an fender bender that slightly damaged the rear quarter When I got it, the car had been hit in the drivers side rear, the guy who sold it to me did a crappy job of pulling out the dent. I did a quick, obvious bondo job on that spot to keep moisture out of the trunk. There is also some rust on the inside of the door jam (in pictures).
TRUNK - small holes near the cocktail shakers (shown in pictures) - the main pan was replaced before I got it and looks new.
FLOOR PANS - need to be replaced. They have been patched, and there are no holes through, but if you know anything about Firebird F-Body cars, the floor IS the frame. That being said, you could drive this car for a few years before you had to really worry about this issue. I have been driving it since 2010.
BIDDING - I love this car and I am sorry to have to sell it - my kid is going to be heartbroken. I have put at least 10k into it and I won't accept any low-ball offers. It's in pretty fair shape for a 49 year old.
Please don't bid unless you plan to buy.
