1966 pontiac bonneville convertible 80K miles A/C tripower, drive home in style!
Description
Hi, well every car like this has a story. We restore 66 67 gto's in our down time from our construction business.I have had over 90 old rides and love them. while cloning lemans we needed big motors and started buying 20 big 65 and 66 bonnies cats 2+2s,grand prix, and fallen projects with the usual hoard.I fell in love with these! gto at the track @ home laid back! Less Tickets that way I always look for these cars and saw it on ebay where i got it with a second chance offer for a ridiculous 21K. previous owner had bought it to drive from indian lake in ohio to tampa for the winters.he had it all gone over at a professional restoration shop, work totalling near 40K.Now I have been in the Detroit autorama TWICE with my 67 gto and this Bonneville would drive right in and hold its own.It gets loads of attention too! everyone remembering Dads bonnie and being a kid, wind in the hair cruising in the great old days! We had a safari 9 passenger but uncle had a rag 225 and top down driving beats everything for sure...Safer than any Harley with the texters out there too..This car has upgraded A/C,great brakes+ tires, drives and shifts like new! very Reliable Classic car I repaired the typical passenger side A/C weep hole floor rust which was minimal.look at the floor pan! ever seen a 60s ragtop so clean?? especially in the kick panel holes where the whole car relies on being solid.usually its a mouse nested up rust box that smells ruff ! So great Classic car for sure. Bluebooks like mid $60s which is what it is,no one pays that but at half that, the price is reassuring. Heres what i felt were its needs ..an am/fm (has aftermarket post type direct fit cassette player one in it now) I will donate It along with a nicer rear speaker grill I have a MINT one for it. needs nicer seat belts, had aftermarket ones which are included but a car like this needs the carriage ones for sure. thats all it needs. I got it to drive while my next 65 is being done here. The Owner Tom had cancer and found out he had 7 months to go,was tidying things up.. Car had a real lame ebay ad a buddy did for him, so no one bid into the 30s like he figured. I contacted him, heard his Cancer story, which i JUST went thru with my Mother so empathy and paying it forward made me do the deal. COST I am at 24k with the IRA hit so I figured I couldnt go wrong. this would be my 3rd summer enjoying it.I NOW get nervous with it around my 4 dogs so its blanketed up in a heated garage nesting comfortably. Reason for selling: I saw a Dr, Dog fence post holing had me a mess, couldnt sand my 65,barely lift arms(especially after the pricks eliminated Vicodens due to Junkies) I tore both rotator cuffs doing drywall for 35 years and thought it was just bad arthritus.NOT so armlessness forces me to sell down my cars and parts to pursue breeding english creme retrievers further.love doing this puppy thing too! NEED A DOG? Ask anything honest seller check feedbacks (read my neg.ad where i say in every sentence I DONT KNOW SHROUDS APPS SO CHECK IT AGAINST YOURS and see if you think guys a nutjob too) Since 2002 I have sold over half a million dollars of my extra parts helping the hobby. cheaply, honestly and with great prices too! 2nd neg in over 2,000 + sales. one in every crowd. anyway, cars ALSO for sale locally so i reserve the right to sell it from home for $$ at anytime, as is usual .STOP by Toledo just off 75 and the turnpike, come see it and drive it home! I have a car hauler and Ford 7.3 dually so free delivery within 200 miles, reasonable fee for up a delivery of up to 350 miles max distance from NW ohio (Bad back). can store or help with overseas delivery.I might be able to deliver to east coast port city like baltimore but not in NY,NJ tolls blow! I can send more pix, I will add underside ones after a few days of top sides exposure.its nice too
