Description

1968 Pontiac Lemans
This is a very unique opportunity to purchase a fully restored 68-72 Pontiac Lemans body to start from scratch or transfer your drivetrain into and save the cost of restoring your body/frame. This a sizable cost savings in comparison to what it will cost to restore most of the 68-72's out there today. See below for the details on the history of this car and its second to none offerings:

I purchased this car in 1997 from the original owner with 44k miles. The restoration began in 1998 which brought the car to where it is now which is needing final assembly. My intentions for this car was to build a high quality restored Lemans which is why the body work was done right as I never intended to sell it. Any rust issues were dealt with by way of replacing panels rather than patching and covering anything. I have detailed pictures of all the body work from start to finish. No corners were cut during this process. You will be hard pressed to duplicate this for the money.
This is a great opportunity to build yourself a solid Lemans or GTO depending on what direction you want to go. The car is painted a Toyota blue which I will provide the paint code in the event you need to do any touch up down the road. It is an off the shelf color for convenience. The car looks absolutely amazing in the sunlight with this deep blue color.
Most of everything you need is included with the car. Interior parts, instrument cluster with 55k miles, seats, engine harness, body harness, door latches, stainless trim, lights, emblems, etc all included. The notable items you will need to source is a headliner, carpet, and engine.I have three front bumpers for the car. The original in good condition (not chrome) with the grille, lights and brackets. Two chrome ones in good condition. Brand new rear bumper from Ames Performance still in the wrapping. The pictures are a portion of what I have for the car. If you are curious about any specific parts feel free to ask.
The original 2spd powerglide trans and two strong TH350's are going with the car. You decide which trans you want to run as they all work well and are ready to drop in behind the engine of your choice.
New sheet metal sourced through Ames Performance
Ram Air Hood
Left & Right Front Fenders
Left & Right Rear ¼ panels
Full floors with firewall extensions
Full trunk floor with drop offs
Hood hinges
Core Support
Complete cowl
Inner and Outer Rocker Panels
Suspension/Drivetrain:Front upper and lower control arms rebuilt with new bushings and ball joints
All steering linkages replaced
Posi rear end completely overhauled with new bearings and seals
Frame was sanded and painted with POR-15 front to back
You will need to assemble the car and build it the way you want. This is essentially a clean slate to work from. Most importantly the time consuming and expense of the bodywork is complete. To duplicate the body that I have here you would be easily spending $25k - $30k.
