Incredible 1969
GTO & Judge Clone Convertible with New 400 Cu In Engine, 350 Turbo Transmission, Factory Bucket Seats and Console
I sold this car to a gentlemanin Austin Texas about two months ago and he loves the car. But due to personal reasons, he can not keep the car . The car is still in the same exact conditionas when I sold it to him. He has really never used eBay and is not familiar with the selling side I told him I would help him sell the car. I know from talking to a lot of you about the car before I sold it to Wade (the new owner), there was a very high level of interest in the car. Wade said it was the smoothing running and driving car he has ever had. Sp below is the same listing informationI listed the car to begin with.
I purchased this car from a guy in Augusta GA who claimed to be the 2nd owner (had no title history to prove or disprove) and this would make me the third owner if true. I bought the car thinking I would keep it and I hate to get rid of it, but I need to get rid of some toys and make room in my shop for the other projects I have in work.
This cool 1969 GTO Clone originally came from the Pontiac factory a Deluxe Le mansConvertible. A spoiler was added to the trunk, a GTO hood and hood Tachometer was added, GTO rear taillights were added along with all of the correct GTO badges. The Judge stripes were added for fun and are factory correct stripes so if you do not like the them, they will come off without damaging the paint. (I have included a photo of the car without the stripes)
As you can see in the photos, the car is a brilliant Orange Pearl exterior with a beautiful new white top and new white pearl interior. The paint is very good and looks more brilliant in person than it does in the photos. The Car has a Beautiful Two Stage base coat/clear coat polyurethane Pearl paint job that looks awesome in and out of the sun light. The paint is from House of Colors and its name is Tangelo.
The custom interior and convertible top are new along with new black 80/20 loop pile carpet and 80/20 loop pile Judge embroideredfloor mats. The dash, trim, sun visors and all the gauges are either new or have been reworked and brought back to their original condition. The sound system is a AM/FM CD stereoand it sounds great, with a dual cone center speaker in the front and two speakers in the factory position behind the rear seat.
We also installed a beautiful real wood Pontiac steering wheel and the top is a full power convertible top with one new cylinder. The car also has the original console, floor shifter, bucket seats, seat belts power steering, power disc brakes. and factory A/C that have all been updated and work very well with the AC unit blowing plenty of cold air.
I do not know what the original power plant was, but the car now has a freshly built 400 cu in motor (1970 Pontiac vintage) backed up with a freshly built 3 speed 350 Turbo transmission.
It appears that all sheet metal is original with the exception of a couple of partial floor pans, (one in the front on the passengersside and one in the rear on the driver's) and trunk pan, all three being repaired with new pans and other visible signs of other problems in the car. The car is very straight as can be seen in the photos of all sides, front and rear. The body and undercarriage of the car is clean with some slight normal surface rust in some areas.
The new 400 big block Pontiac engine has an aluminum Hi Rise Edelbrock intake and new Edelbrock Carb. There has been a mild Comp Cam installed that runs smoothly and is very street-able on pump gas but sounds great at an idle.new starter, new HEI ignition, water pump and fuel pump. There is a set new set of Flow Masters and all new head and tail pipes that gives the car that real muscle car sound. The engine starts with just a touch of the key cold or hot and it idles well and runs smooth at any speed. With the addition of the new engine the A/C system was completelygone through with new parts and hoses were needed and it works very well.
The transmission is the original 350 Turbo type that has been rebuiltand the car has the original floor shifter and console. The rear end is the stock rear end with a nice cruising gear, this is not a race car, it is a head turner and a show winner.
The car rides on a set of 15" original Pontiac spoke wheels with new beauty rings and caps. New TA radials all around and the stance on this car is beautiful.
All of the glass is in excellent condition, I am not sure if it was replaced or this is the original glass. All of the trim and chrome on the car is either new or in very good condition.
When I received the car the brakes were good but the car had set in the garage a while and had not been driven much in the three years prior to my purchase. All of the brake components were fairly new but the fluid had set in the lines and cylinders and the brakes were working sluggishly. I had all new flex lines, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, drums turned, new front rotors, calipersand pads installed, the system cleaned and all new fluid. The brakes are perfect now and will stop you on a dime.
I also had the car buffed and waxed along with a complete detail under the hood and trunk area. All of the fluids in the engine and transmission were changed and it received a fresh lube job.
The trunk is the original type splatter paint with a clear urethane top coat and trunk mat. The car comes with a covered new spare tire.
This car runs strong, drives and handles great and the engine has great oil pressureand runs cool. Even when cruising the streets in the middle of a hot South Georgia summer day the car runs cool. All this car needs is a good home and a cool driver to cruise it anywhere.
All lights and gauges work with the exception of the speedometer.
The car has all of these options:
The cowl tag reads as follows:
ST 69 - 123767BAL 1583728
TRIM 250 CPNT90
06B 8
Decoded Cowl Tag
