Description

Beautiful 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible Ram Air IIIVehicle is 100% licensed in the state of CA with a clean title and insured with State Farm as a Classic Historical Vehicle with an insurance value of $250,000
Vehicle has undergone a three year, frame off rotisserie Mod/Restoration. Engine, transmission, and rear differential have a complete rebuild with aftermarket parts that help to greatly improve the reliability and durability of the motor, every mechanical part is new, rebuilt, or re-manufactured, front to back and top to bottom.
Vehicle upgrades include electric headlight cover conversion, 4 wheel disk brakes, new electric/air/hydraulic convertible top raise and lower kit, new radiator with Derale dual electric fans, new fuel pump, re-manufactured brake booster and power steering pump.Stunning interior with new console and re-upholstered seats with new seat belts front and rear.Pontiac Historical Society Documentation is included with the vehicle, PHS was not able to authenticate that this vehicle was was an early 1969 model that was pulled from the assembly line and dressed up to take around to dealers as a display car, but two different Pontiac historians believe that is what the XXX4 on the top right corner of the cowl tag indicates. Again, this has been nearly impossible to verify to the authentication level due to the age and just spotty records of the time. Absolute worst case senario it is a stunning 1969 GTO Ram Air III Convertible that according to the production numbers is one of 249, and it is anybody's guess how many of those have actually survived.Ebay listed mileage is just what the odometer reads, I cannot verify actual mileage.
Vehicle was listed with Mecum Auctions at the recent Monterey auction.Auction estimate for this car was $125k-$150k but was up for auction on Thursday evening and Monterey was just a tough weekend for sellers
many cars did not reach reserve and the few that did not have a reserve sold for nearly half of their expected value. You can verify the Mecum Monterey listing at WWW.MECUM.COM and search Monterey and Lot T217

I can arrange and will cover shipping/transportation with an amazing carrier to anywhere in the continental US, beyond that you are going to have to make the arrangements.
So... how did I get this amazing vehicle? Well I traded for it actually, I traded a SCORE/BITD Trophy/Trick Truck that had less than 150 miles on it and was built to last and win races. The truck is easily a $150k truck to the right market. I have been building off road race trucks since 1996 and have built over 15 vehicles, but the Trophy Truck was definitely my crowning achievement. The truck was amazing, it was completed in August of 2011, it was due to take its very first off road test drive, but just three days before I was in a major accident. I used to commute to and from work on a bicycle, I had done so for over 8 years when a ar parked on the side of the road opened a door directly into me which I hit at over 20 mph and was thrown into the street where I was run over by a passing Ford Ranger. I was drug down the road underneath the vehicle for about 40 feet before it came to a stop. I was air lifted to a trauma hospital for what would be the first of over 6 surgeries during my three month hospitalization, many more surgeries were to follow in the months and years to come, including a complete tear out and rebuilding of the hardware in my lower back. This accident caused us to make many changes as a family, we have been through a great deal, but are still together and supporting each other as best we can. Along the way we had a professional driver get the truck tuned and then it sat when the hardware in my back failed in 2015. With a great deal of help from friends the truck was completely tore down and cleaned and put up for sale since there was no way I was ever going to be in one ever again. We ended up trading the truck to a fellow racer that has spent the last 45 years finding and restoring classic muscle cars like the GTO listed above. We are at a point where the GTO has to go, we would prefer a straight sale but are willing to do just about anything we can to facilitate a sale. As long as everything is legal and above board it does not matter to me who buys the vehicle or how, partial trades can also be considered depending on the nature of the trade, our interests lie in smog exempt vehicles of an off road nature, like older Land Cruisers or Jeeps or Broncos. I am fully prepared to verify any and all aspects of the above information of the vehicle or any and all aspects of my personal story or vehicle acquisition. My name is Don, and I can be contacted by text at 909 - 297 - 6054 to discuss the vehicle further, please only contact by text at first so we can establish contact and I can call on a land line that has clear reception. Thank you for reading this add and have a great day.
