Description

1972 Pontiac Grand Prix SSJ Hurst. Factory car. 1 of 60 produced. PHS documented Hurst SSJ build code 50 012. Matching numbers 455 4BBL, Turbo 400 automatic transmission, A/C, Power windows, door locks and trunk release, cruise control, custom seat belts, under hood light, Rallye gauge cluster, Space Saver spare (never inflated, orig air canister), luggage lamp. Odometer shows 28,695, assumed to be 128,695. Unmolested under the hood even down to the cold start idle solenoid (reported very rare). New tires, brakes, rubber brake lines, master cylinder, hoses. Gas tank and radiator refurbished, transmission serviced. New brown carpet to match. Original shifter surround is in the trunk. I had the SSJ decal reproduced and painted a spare shifter plate. Also added the Sport Steering wheel (cause i like it better, but dont have the horn button). Original is in the trunk too. Runs and drives like a Grand Prix, 70s smooth. All the chrome mouldings for the original canope vinyl roof have also managed to stay with the car. A remarkably rare Pontiac, the people that track these things say 14 or 15 left. This one is mostly rust free. Apparently rust proofed when new. You can still see those black plugs in the door jams from 1972. Seats are original and obviously rough, but i decided to leave the original cloth rather than put in the available vinyl. Sunroof does not work and I did not want to risk damaging the tender headliner, as it is not too shabby. All choices for the new owner. Thanks for looking.
