1980 Pontiac Firebird Esprit
Description
1980 auto trans Firebird Esprit. Love this car, but unfortunately I need more cargo space.
Clean TN title. The paint and interior is fair-to-good, with some dash cracking. Overall, interior's pretty good, paint is pretty good besides a few chips on the front end. No dents, no serious scratches, no glass problems. It has working power windows plus a stereo with aux input. It has all-new tires as of a few months ago, and its had front end work done also. The car runs and drives great. I've only used 93 grade fuel in it while I've owned it. Odometer reads around 58,000, but since it turns over at 100,000, I'd take that with a grain of salt.
Here is what it needs - it is definitely a 'running project'.
-Turn signals are finicky. They tend to only work intermittently when the headlights are on. When off, they're fine.
-No dash lights.
-Heat works great, but no AC.
-The carb needs a better tuning. It doesn't affect running but the car does slightly hesitate coming out of a dead stop.
-No muffler right now.
-It also does not have locks on either door. The trunk area can be opened with a long screwdriver.
Considering its age it's in pretty great running shape and overall looks pretty good as well. It wouldn't take much time or money for someone to finish the restoration, but I've been driving the car all around the Memphis area with no issues.
I'm going with $5500 OBO. Very negotiable but don't lowball me, I have no need to rush into a sale. Pickup in Midsouth-only, sorry, I can't afford to travel or deliver (you can arrange transport of course if you like). I live outside of Memphis, in Arlington. Or, if you have a newer-model van of equal value, or lesser value + $$$ difference, I'd be glad to consider that trade. Just hit me up!
Thanks!
