1979 Trans Am Y84 WS6
Description
Owned for the last 25yrs. Started restoration with keeping it as stock as possible. This is a true Y84 WS6 ordered without t-tops from dealer. I have the original build sheet in very good condition as well as Pontiac Historical Society documentation. Car runs and drives good. I kept it stored indoors pretty much 98% of the time I've owned it. Drive train is numbers matching. Body is in descent shape for typical F-body. If you want more pics I can send them upon request. Engine and trans have approx 400mi on rebuild which was done many years ago. Engine is all original except the intake and heads. intake is an Edebrock spread bore with heads from a '70 350 cutlass to bump up the compression. Has been bored .030 over. All engine parts were purchased from Mondello and heads have oversized valves 2.02/1.65. Cam is a Mondello JM18-20 made by Engle. Trans is a TH350 with a stock rebuild. Rear end still has the original Posi 2.73 gear from the WS6 package with 4 wheel disc and large factory roll bars. New ball joint, tie rod, center link, pitman arm, A arm bushings, stailess brake/fuel lines, and sub frame bushings. The Interior is still original to how I bought it. It doesn't have factory radio(Alpine aftermarket) and door panels had speaker holes cut in them so the gold emblem to cover window crank hole is missing. I have an extra set of fenders that are ok and an extra hood as well as the fiberglass rear quarter spoilers from a 78(to get rid of the ABS ones) and an extra tail light to replace the driver side due to crack, and a passenger side door glass because the original has a deep scratch in it. The original space saver spare and jack are there as well. I do have some new parts that I purchased that will go with the vehicle as well. New outer window welts, all new weather stripping trunk-doors-hood, rear leaf rebuild kit, and center caps for the snow flake wheels with gold emblems. I do have all the original A/C parts(compressor/hoses). I didn't install because I did not get to upgrading to R-134 from R-12. However I do have a new dryer in box. Interior is all original. The steering column wrinkle black paint is starting to flake off. Gold on the dash bezel is slightly faded. Everything works all lights, rear defrost, power windows, tilt column and wipers. I did add delay wipers from a '80 using factory wiring. Also took power door lock module from the '80 as well with factory wiring but never installed them. The headlight switch will need replacing, it gets twitchy when you try to dim dash lights. Exterior is very solid. Small patch of rust on driver fender and lower rear quarter, passenger side shows now holes. door jambs is excellent shape-see pics. Driver and pass floor boards have holes in them. Driver side is approx 4in dia, pass side 2in diameter. Please feel free to ask for any additional info. Serious inquiries only!!!!! No tire kickers. Auto decline is set for low ballers. If your serious, please make your offer serious I will remain firm on purchase terms.Full payment due in 3 days Deposit will be kept if you fail to pay.
