1966 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon 421Cu In
Description
For sale here is a 1966 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon equipped with a 421 Cu In motor. It is equipped with AM Radio,AC,PS,PB,Power Rear Window,Door Edge Guards,Remote Outside Mirror,Custom Gauge Cluster, Kelsey Hayes Aluminum Hubs, HD Springs and Shocks. The motor is a YH code which is the 421 Cu In/ 338 Hp version, serial number 523605. The top is Mission Beige and the body is Martinique Beige. The Pontiac Historical Society confirms the accuracy of the original equipment (see photo). Additionally the PHS has reproduced the window sticker (see photo). The car has a new muffler, new 3 core aluminum radiator (Champion), rebuilt carb, new plugs, new air filter, new water pump, new tires, brakes have been redone, etc. It tests out with 150-160 lbs of compression on all cylinders. It starts and runs well with no smoke and it just passed Colorado's extremely tough emissions test with great numbers. The car cruises effortlessly at 70 mph. It needs paint and minor rust repair as well a complete interior (it has the wrong front seat and rear seat bottom). The frame is solid with surface rust only (see photos). I installed a new Grant three spoke steering wheel. The original wheel is included and needs restoration. Also included is an extra front bumper and grille and a new windshield. This car deserves a proper restoration. I have plenty of projects and will continue to restore the car if it doesn't sell. The car is registered with the 421 Pontiac Station Wagon Registry and it is estimated that less than 20 of the 1966 wagons were so equipped and less than 10 survive. The car is offered FOB Denver Colorado with no warranties expressed or implied. A non refundable deposit of $1000 is due using PayPal within 24 hours of your winning bid. The balance is due by check or cash in 7 days. The car will not be released until funds have cleared my bank. Check my feedback, I offer items a honestly and completely as possible. If you haven't been following "long roofs"recently, they are bringing top dollar. I just watched a 1960 Impala wagon sell for $27,108. Finished and considering the rarity of this car, I would guess it should top that by a considerable margin. Please email me with questions before bidding. eBay will only let me post 24 photos, but I have plenty more I can send on a specific question. If you are a zero or low feedback bidder, I reserve the right to disallow your bid unless you communicate with me prior to bidding. Good luck on bidding on this car and you will not be disappointed.
