Description
From 1976 to 1987, the Pontiac Acadian was a version of the Chevrolet Chevette sold by Canadian Pontiac-Buick dealers, initialy identical to the Chevette except for badging, but picking up the distinctly "Pontiac" design cues of the U.S. market Pontiac T1000 after that model's 1981 introduction. This Pontiac Acadian comes with the Woody package exclusive for 1976, the first year of production for the Acadian. The simulated wood panelling was hand painted by the famous hand letterer Pierre Tardif. The motor is a 4 cylinders 1.8L that starts right up at the first turn of the key. This small hatchback car offers an impressive amount of cargo space with its folding back rear bench seat. The seats were entirely refurbished with original 70s upholstery and they are in great shape. As a thrifty Pontiac car, it surprisingly comes with the optional and frugal roof rack and glove box. As Canada is well known for its ruthless roads, our cars – especially from this era – are/were some of the biggest targets of our winters. However the previous owners of this 1976 Pontiac Acadian have managed to keep it clean and safe from the rust. Since they were produced in such low quantities for such a short period of time, this Acadian is a unique Canadiana piece! This car was featured in two movies « Gut Instinct » (coming in 2019) and « Je finerai en prison » (filmed in 2018). This is a turn-key vehicule! Brakes were just gone through. We know the car’s complete history and previous owners, whom 3 were females. It just reached its first odometer rollback last year. The only reason why this car is offered for sale is because we have too many vehicules.

- Correction: the motor is a 1.6 l, not 1.8. Sorry for the type, and I cannot edit the original description once bids have been placed.
- As mentionned in the description, the woody package was handpainted by a professional (Pierre Tardif), so this is not an original woody package car, but a great looking repro of one.
