Documented with a thick pile of receipts and Pontiac Historical Service papers. Overall very well restored, very desirable muscle car. EXTERIOR: Extremely desirable, factory Lucerne blue color. It is a 15 year old paint job that shows really well. Very smooth, glossy clear coat finish. Proper stripe decals look new. The body is clean. Has full quarter panels at factory seams. Up front the Enduro bumper is in excellent shape. Shaker hood assembly is complete and functional. The little flapper... door opens with original actuator motor. The window seals on top the doors and weatherstrips are replaced. In back the bumper looks new, tail lights are bright original. The 15 inch Rally ll wheels are restored, has correct lug nuts, center caps and new trim rings. Door jambs are painted real nice, as new sill plates. The car looks good! INTERIOR: Very nice black deluxe interior. Correct 1 year only door panels, new watershields. New cushions and deluxe upholstery. The carpet was replaced and has new insulation. New headliner, visors, visor hardware and dome light. The factory Am-Fm stereo is in place. A stereo was installed in the console without damaging anything, has 2 6x9 speakers in back. All the plastic trim inside is excellent. Window cranks, pedals and formula steering wheel are new. Console is in really nice shape. Has Rally gauges, clock upgraded to quartz. The Trans Am features a machine turned instrument bezel. Has the correct seat belts. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has complete, correct 1970 YZ Ram Air lll engine. Correct heads, intake, ram air exhaust manifolds, carb, distributor, brackets etc. The shaker hood has functional flapper door. New wiring harness. $278 was spent having the original hinges restored. Carb was glass beaded and restored. The engine was completely rebuilt and balanced, has receipt. Has forged pistons, heads were rebuilt. Rebuilt starter and alternator. The 4 core radiator was tested, flushed and painted. Wiper motor was replaced. It is detailed up very nicely, nice coat aqua engine paint everything. Has original chrome valve covers. Fan shroud is proper, rubber splash shields are stapled over the front suspension. Has GM hoses, clamps and spring clamp battery cables. Refinished brake booster, new master and stainless steel lines. The air cleaner has the snorkel with the heat riser tube going down to the exhaust. It is a very clean, proper and complete looking motor compartment. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk is real solid metal. Has the new rubber mat, collapsible spare with air bottle and complete jack assembly. The blue under the lid and jamb are slick. Trunk light and power trunk release work. UNDERSIDE: Suspension and subframe were all disassembled and restored. The parts were blasted and powder coated. Suspension and body bushings were replaced with Polygraphite. The rear springs got new shackles, bushings and cushions. The original Turbo 400 was rebuilt, has shift kit. The original 3.55 posi was gone through- new bearings and seals. New end yokes on driveshaft. and yoke. Has correct Gardner 2 1/2 inch exhaust with correct tips. Brake and fuel lines replaced with stainless. New GM gas tank and sender. Has upgraded KYB gas shocks. The floors were blasted and repainted red oxide. The Trans Am got rave reviews from the public and the critics. It featured American muscle with a bit of European style and handling. They had very limited production. Only 3,196 total, 1,339 were automatic. Only 2 colors were available- white or blue. The blue is much more rare and desirable- only 1,046 made total. I will attest to what a pleasure these cars are to drive. They handle great, have great power and people enjoy seeing them.
