GTO convertible-Vehicle was discovered in an estate sale. Clear Wisconsin title. Had been put in storage garage in 1987. It is complete numbers matching drive train. Engine, trans, rear end. It is in its original paint, matador red, with red interior, bucket seat center council car. (red on red makes it rare in itself) black power convert top. It is a low option car with a 3 speed saginaw manual trans. Has 48 heads making it on the upper end of the 350 hp 400 engines, 4bbl car. Car is PHS documented, one owner before me. Car was bought new by original owner at Van Schleedorn Pontiac in Menominee, WI. Still has dealer sticker on trunk lid, Only part of the car missing is rear seat.Body is in very restorable condition, typical Wisconsin rust, and some dents,. Floor pans, trunk pans, wheel wells solid with only surface rust. Frame is solid and straight, no accident history. No cowl rust, and unmolested dash. Convert top frame is solid, but top is deteriorated.. All stainless trim is impeccably scratch and ding free. All glass is chip, scratch, swirl, and damage free.Engine was turned over to make sure it was not seized. A battery was put in it to see if all lights, radio, etc worked, all did. Engine was never started to ensure no risk of damage to it. Transmission and rear end still have original ID paint markings on them. Car has been broken down. Engine and trans pulled, interior removed, etc to stop future rot. All parts bagged and marked. Stored in climate controlled environment.
Le Mans Custom S Convertible-VIN# 235679B135019, 53,090 miles on odometer. Clear Wisconsin title. Vehicle was originally a Georgia car. I am 3rd owner. VIN was ran with PHS to verify car was an original 350 V8 car, making it one of 94 built!!! Original color Verdero green, black interior, white top. Very straight, rust free car. All stainless trim is scratch and ding free, all glass is chip, scratch, and swirl free. convert frame is clean and straight, but needs new top. Runs and drives. Engine is non numbers matching, 1976 350 Pontiac from a Firebird. Automatic transmission shift on column, and rear end believed to be original. Car is equipped with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, manual top, remote driver mirror, hidden wipers. Interior needs seat and dash pad restoration, missing radio and glove box door, but dash core is clean and unmolested. Car is stored in climate controlled environment.
Include in sale are one set of 15x7 Rally 2 rims (original to car), engine stand that the GTO engine is on, various memorabilia from the discovery of the GTO, and a vintage Holley aluminun intake and 600 holley carb found with the car.
