Here ya go folks! Here is another one fresh out of my vault. In a time when body shop special non numbers matching GTO's are commanding 50k and up, here is a honest opportunity to probably get a better car, for much less money.
I bought this car at a yard sale some time ago. I purchased the car from the original owner, who was a Vietnam war veteran, disabled from the war, and the car reallydidn't get used from 1970 when he returned from Vietnam until I bought it. It collected some 50,000 miles over 52 years. A excellent, dry original car, with just about nothing molested on the car.
The car has the original Engine, Trans, Rear End, Interior, Top, Paint, you name it, and it's pretty much original. Now while some would want to paint the car, etc. I do not agree. The car is a very presentable survivor, but...over the course of 50 years, reliability had become a issue to me, so...while the heads have never been off the car, everything that I could think of that would be a issue I went ahead and took care of, all while keeping the car 99.5% original. What I mean by that is, I recored the radiator, full tune up, gaskets, seals, brakes, fluids, tires, valve seals...etc.
I havea lotof the original documentation for the car including selling paperwork andProtect-o-Plate. I do not have the window sticker. Car has factory stamp marks on firewall, gas tank, etc.
The car runs and drives great, always starts right up, does not smoke, leak anything appreciable, rattle, etc. It really is a nice example of a very original car.
The interior is absolutely beautiful, and all original. It likely has not been cleaned or wiped down since the 1970's...but that gives you something to do. The exterior is all original, no hidden rust, bondo...etc. in this car. Always garage kept...absolutely a dry car.
This is not a car I would restore, I would preserve this car and drive it. Thereisn't many all numbers matching documented low mile 67 GTO's floating around...and something like this rarely makes it to market, usually trading hands privately.
This is a original paint car...it's been in my warehouse...so it surely will clean up with a wash. The car needs someone to rub thelacquer...I'm not good with a buffer...so I never touched it.The car is for sale locally, so auction can be ended at anytime in the event of a sale outside of eBay.
If you are having the car shipped, I have a brokerage account with Central Dispatch, and can get this car to you faster than your wife can get her Amazon order.
