Description

Pontiac Chieftain 2 door v8 a rare car!

No reserve auction!

I bought this car a few month back but found another car on my bucket list that took precedence. This is a cool car, has great patina and drives well. Keep in mind, it is all stock. There are no missing parts to this car. Notice the trim on the side of the car is chrome as well, I have not seen a Chieftain with this chrome stripin many years. Most of the time this section is painted another color, not covered in chrome. This vehiclehas new floors welded in, a new gas tank with electronic fuel pump (the filler hole is in the trunk, but can be plumped to the proper gas door on side), new stock exhaust (small leak where coupling of manifold and piping come together, easy fix) and a new carpet kit.All the lightswork, MPH gauge works (other gauges need to be looked at). The engine runs great, good compression, rebuilt carburetor, new wires, plugs, points, cap, condenser, etc. There issomerust, I was not going to restore and drive as is, still a solid drivable car. It can definitely be restored if that is the goal. Compared to most Pontiacs of this era, I can't say the rust is all too bad. It looks great none the less and is solid for a driver. Please review pictures well for details, see link for more below. The tires are decent, buttheydo have small cracks. The headliner is great for the age. The wiring under the dash is great as well. The body is extremely straight, with no dents orany major gouges. Bumpers are very good as well (rear bent upwardson underside of passenger side where it may have been towed in the past)I have the title in hand and it is registered through December of 2016. The car does drive well but it is 120 degreesat my house in Palm Springs so with no AC and climbing out of thevalley, I recommend a tow or wait till winter :). Askquestions if you like. I can also help on coordination of shipping if needbe. If you like the retro, drive able look, this is a perfect car that gets a lot of attention.
