Description

This is an outstanding replica of a Ferrari 328 GTB built on a 1985 Fiero. It was painted with a high gloss red finish in the last month and has been garaged since. Car has new battery, new stereo, and 4 new speakers. The car comes with 2 speakers in the dashboard, which I have replaced with Pioneers. I removed the panels along side and behind each seat and added 2 Blaupunkt speakers. The stereo is a high power Sony (50 watts x 4 RMS - NOT peak watts) with bass boost.

The car came out of a classic car restoration shop and the owner was a professional builder of this car for himself (divorce forced sale). I saw a number of his other creations, all excellent work. This car is extremely solid, with excellent lines between panels. It looks much more like a Ferrari than any other I had ever seen. It draws a lot of attention wherever I go. I wish I had a nickel for every time I said to approaching people “its not what you think it is!” I even have people stop and knock on the front door if it is in the driveway, asking “is the Ferrari for sale”

The original 4 cyl engine was upgraded to a low mileage V6 I believe around 2012 with 26K miles. It runs like a champ and handles like a sports car. I was told by the previous owner that the original car was an excellent candidate for a conversion. The exhaust is not loud but it sounds great. The odometer shows approximately 33,000 miles. NJ DMV because they show me registering the car with 328,000 miles, which I absolutely DID NOT!!!! I can only guess they typed it in wrong in 2015 when perhaps it was 32800.0 miles - ie: showing the tenths of a mile)

Too summarize, This is a SUPER NICE FERRARI 308 GTBi replica! This has a strong and quick fuel injected 2.8 Liter V6 engine in it and running extremely well. This vehicle is in very good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find expensive Ferrari. You can now own a real Exotic sports car with all the creature comforts, and none of the finicky mechanical problems and expensive repairs!

Known Issues - Priced accordingly

The air is not hooked up so I don't know if it works. The original owner gave me 2 AC Units, one that didn’t work and one that he was going to install as a replacement. I cant remember which is which!

The right headlight started sticking. Sometimes it doesn't always go down or up completely and I have to manually nudge it. The original owner I believe replaced a relay on that side before I picked it up, but he also gave me a spare “bucket” should I need a replacement. A headlight motor rebuild kit is around $50.00 or just swap out the assembly for a different unit.

The windows move up and down slowly. I bought 2 new motors, but I was told it more likely is just dirty tracks the windows slide in. Or mayb e switch on console. I haven't had time to investigate it so I've adjusted my price accordingly and will provide the 2 motors.

Some Fieros have a pair of gauges mounted above the radio on center console. I have a mount and 3 gauges with sensors for Fue, Water Temperature, and Oil Pressure, as the gauges on the console are not operating. The Tachometer is not accturate, But the speedometer and odometer work fine. I have a replacement gauge cluster that could be swapped and perhaps all gauges will work. I know it is easy to remove but I don’t have the skip or time to play with it.

The car is sold as is and the buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up. I will help out with loading but I would like it gone in 7 days after the auction ends. I encourage interested parties to come and see the car and it is for sale locally soI may end the auction early.
