1974 Pontiac Ventura (like a Nova),garage find/true old lady car,only 54K miles!
Description
this Ventura is one of the cleanest X-bodies I have seen and finished in the awesome LimeFire Green with multi-tone green interior. You are looking at an all original, truly unmolested, 54000 mile, grandma car. This car is begging to be cloned to the iconic GTO or build an awesome LS powered sleeper street machine. The slate is clean. The following is a brief history of this car as i know it. Sold new in 1974 at Pontiac dealer, traded back in to the dealer in 1976, dealership owner kept the car until '83 or '84 letting wife and/or daughter drive it, in mid-80's it was parked inside a building at the dealership until they closed their doors in 2016, 2017 it was sold at auction, at that time a new gas tank was installed, 4 new tires on the plain steel rims (with poverty caps) and a quick tune-up. Fast forward to June 2019 … I was able to get the car to my place and make some cosmetic upgrades. Last week I added the ultra cool '68-72 Nova rocker moldings, Pontiac Rally II wheels and 4 new raised white letter tires. I would consider this car 99% rust free (there is an area bubbling on the lower passenger side fender … see pic) and another area bubbling on the rear wheel well. Floors, rockers, everything else is amazing. Paint is considered to be 70% original (driver fender, header panel, passenger door appear to have been repainted sometime in the '80s). Interior is in great condition… no rips or cracked dash or busted door panels. Headliner looks new, no sags or stains. everything on this car works … radio, all gauges, lights, wipers, horn, and A/C (blows cool). She is equipped with PS, PB, A/C, Tilt wheel, AM/FM. This car runs like a top and is as quiet as can be. Car has 2 original build sheets, 2 original window stickers (one never used), dealer copy of the shipping record, owners manuals, misc '74 Pontiac maintenance brochures, factory '74 shop manual (still in the carton from the dealership). I have about 30 more pics if you are needing additional shots lets me know. last photo shows how she was found in the dealership.
car is sold 'as is'. no warranty. buyer is responsible for all shipping and must make all arrangements.$500.00 non-refundable deposit due at end of auction.
