This GTO retains its original 389 CID engine, M-20 Muncie 4-speed transmission and 3.36:1 posi-traction rear end. The rebuilt engine has 500 miles on it since rebuild and runs strong. The Tripower carburetors were refurbished. A new clutch, drive shaft U-joints, rear end axle bearings and seals were installed. All front A-arm and rear control arm suspension bushings, steering components, and frame to body bushings were replaced. For safety, the brakes were upgraded to a power front disc brake setup. Car retains original black interior and headliner.
At some point in its life, the car was repainted the original maroon color. It was recently wet sanded, buffed and polished to the brilliant luster shown in the pictures.
I have a copy of the original title from 1965. The value of these stacked headlight GTOs (65-67) continue to rise. Hagerty current values are shown below.
In 1965 this GTO was purchased new by an eventual friend of mine. I purchased this GTO from his estate last year and became its second owner.
