Description:Beautiful 1975 Pontiac Trans Am with less than 18,000 original miles. You read this correctly, less than 18,000 original miles. This Trans Am is in excellent unrestored condition with all original paint, interior, body panels and decals. The car is Sterling

Silver Metallic with the original black vinyl interior with black and red Hood Bird and black/red emblem decals. The body is in great condition, with all the factory body panels and factory undercoating. The original black vinyl interior is often mistaken for a restored interior, as it looks virtually untouched. As the pictures show, the carpet, seats, door panels and headliner are absolutely like new. The doors shut with the solid "thunk" of a brand new GM F-car.

This Trans Am has virtually every factory option including:

  • 400 cubic Inch Pontiac V8 engine
  • 4 speed transmission with factory Hurst shifter
  • Trans Am package including front and rear spoilers
  • Engine turned dash with full instrumentation
  • Factory air conditioning
  • Formula steering wheel
  • Tilt wheel
  • Slick top - no T-Roofs
  • Center console
  • Rare rear seat center console (less than 100 sold in '75)
  • AM/FM 8-track stereo
  • Power steering and power front disc/rear drum brakes
  • Trans Am decal package including the hood bird
  • Power windows
  • Power locks
  • Rear window defogger
  • Rally II Wheels with trim rings

The car is in excellent condition, as you would expect for a car with less than 20,000 miles. This T/A has virtually all of its original paperwork including showroom brochures, owners manual, maintenance manual, dealership order form, PHS Documentation, replica window sticker, etc. The Trans Am has been well cared for and has been garage kept for all of its life. I have notarized statements from the prior owners attesting to the almost unbelievable low original miles on this T/A. The ownership chain is unbroken and the history will go with the car.

Mechanically it is in great running condition, including these recent repairs - fresh AC/Delco battery and stainless steel Pypes correct dual exhaust system with cross-over pipe. It has been well maintained using high-zinc Shell Rotella oil, fuel with stabilizer and a chemical protection from the effects of ethanol. This Trans Am rides and handles like a much newer car and drives really well on the highway. The Pypes exhaust adds a few extra horsepower to the car and a nice rumble that doesn't drone. These cars are only original once - and it's one of the most original Trans Ams in existence. Here's how you can tell that it is original - both the ignition door buzzer and the factory "hairy" air intake hose are both on the car and in perfect original condition. The only changes from stock are an Edelbrock intake manifold for better breathing (stock one comes with the car), a Herb Adams finned aluminum oil pan (factory oil pan goes with the car) and chrome hood hinges/springs (factory ones come with the car). I have a clear Massachusetts title for the car in my name.

Please note that while this car is in great condition, it is a 44 year old classic car - it's not like a brand new Honda Accord. The original GM lacquer paint looks great, but it is getting thin in spots. There is a tiny spot of corrosion around the passenger side of the rear window which is shown in the photos. The factory air works but doesn't blow cold; it will need to be recharged. The fuel gauge reads over full and the radio and 8 track don’t currently play. Everything else works as it should. I'm not a car dealer or a flipper. I've owned the car for 11 years, and it's time for me to simplify a bit. This is not a fire sale, so no low-ball offers please.

Feel free to call me to ask any questions about the Trans Am. I highly recommend you inspect the car personally or send someone local to New England to come check it out for you. You will be impressed. If you want a great example of a second generation Trans Am, this is the car for you. I can work with you or your shipper to help get the car to you if you are not in Massachusetts. For a candid description of the car and its history, give me a call, a text message or email.
