MECHANICAL: This Star Chief has been meticulously maintained over the decades. Each owner took very fine care of this car and it shows. Car has underwent years of protection (garage kept) and recent a FRAME-ON restoration.
Odometer Shows mileage as 93K however motor has been completely rebuilt, Pistons, rings, service and tune-up, everything gone through extensively. Starts up every-timeeven on cold days without any issue.Acceleratesvery nicely. Has very throaty strong power. Drives very straight. Tracking down the road like any modern car and does not pull to ether side of the road when driving.
The car is a very much a pleasure to drive. NO Issues with it mechanically, it is street ready. Starts, shifts and stops without any issues of concern.
Automatic Jet-Away Transmission wasrebuilt when the motor was overhauled, shifts excellent.
The Engine block and Transmission have been REBUILT (2015) does not smoke or misfire or give any hesitation when accelerating whatsoever. Plenty of power this car is somewhat of a rocket ship.
Brakes are good and car stops as it should. This car can be driven anywhere with confidence.
BODY: Cosmetically this car looks very sharp (see pics) and always gets major attention wherever it is being driven or parked.
Car was repainted roughly 5 years ago and has a great shine. Over all the paint is in very good condition, all the stainless trim and body trim are perfectly in position and lined up well. The paint work reflects a very professional and the white and red colors have all excellent lines no mistakes. (see pictures)
RUST FREE car. NO holes in the floor or in the trunk, car is very solid. Very little of the body has diminished and is in extremely excellent Western car. Chrome bumpers front and back are original and show some sign of age but still look very nice.
INTERIOR:Professionally reupholstered(2017)
$6500 Was spent on interior upgrades. New Carpet, New Headliner, Painted Dashboard, Door Panels, Both Front and Back Seats redone. All mechanic windows, seats and doors and lock all operate properly.
Sitting inside the Star Chief the first thing you notice is how nice and firm the seats are. No sagging. All New interior makes for a really nice ride *and car smells nice*
THIS EARLY 1957 MODEL was outfitted with an embroidered "Star Badge" on the upper portion of the seats (see pics). These early models are particularlyrare as they soon dropped them throughout 1957.
